Canadians, do you like your healthcare?

Some things should be socialist... like health care and education. Why would being called a socialist bother me? It's just a name, and I know that providing free health care to people is more important than worrying about some label.
America has far more wealth than Canada. We don't need to afford health insurance or whatever other generic evil we have been led to fear through large, sustained doses of propaganda.

Besides, capitalism is working perfectly.

While I couldn't afford seriously expensive treatments out of pocket; I can afford most things, because I've managed my money well enough to save. Keep in mind, the government created HMO's. I'm paying college for myself out of pocket as well.
You'll be fine as long as you play your cards perfectly, save your pennies and don't get cancer and then go bankrupt and then die of cancer.

Yeah right, the choice is that the insurance company can charge you unrealistic monthly premiums (over 500 dollars per month in my case). Especially if you have pre-existing conditions. Only the 1% can afford to pay their hospital/doctor/treatment/medication costs out of pocket. The rest of us have to depend on ever dwindling benefits provided by employers/the government or we simply go without.
My employer and I pay $1181.00 a month for blue cross/blue shield which is more than my mortgage, thats not right.
Then when you go to the hospital its full of welfare people using it for their primary care facility and the wait is excruciating.

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?" --Sarah Palin,

admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing, March 6, 2010

im quite ill and iv yet to see these mythical waiting lines and what the media shows the world. if they out the real numners of death or lost in waits to the total amount that go through the doors each day in a hospital then we might see why there is a wait. for me ive been in within a week or 2 each time i needed any form of treatment. so maybe the ones dying in wait is the Dr fault. ive fired many Dr for lame actions to help hy heaqlth. if it isnt going to make them a huge pay cheque they just dont care....again all on the dr lap. not the system

I fucking love CANADA.
I had this convo with a lady in baltimore. she had this idea that our government was fucking us over. when i told her about my past injuries and the fact that i can in no panic just go to the hospital and be stiched up, she almost fucking fell over!
she had TERRIBLE stories of her neighbors and friends dying in their homes because they couldnt afford medicine. THATS FUCKED. I cant even say what i would do if that happened to one of my friends or family. I've NEVER even imagined something like that.
My last surgery i had to argue with my doc that i didn't want oxy's and perks (morphine hadn't worn off yet - awesome).
to be honest america scares me. I really hope the US gov can slow the fuck down and stop ruining everything. -whole other topic.
american public, you are the people who can make the changes. dont believe the hype brothers!!

Palin did say that. She also said that at the time she was six years old. Did she have a choice?

And by the way, don't you find it "ironic" that Palin isn't mentioned at all in the main stream liberal media anymore? Why is that? Please explain. Thanks.

1) You get a choice in insurance company as well as hospital (I realize the second exists with universal)
2) You have the right not to get insurance (If you have money in the bank, why in the world would you need insurance?)
this is the kind of shit looney libertarians go on and on about.

We're working on it bro. Everyone is talking about it and taking action. Even most of my family members are involved. Change is coming. It may be hard won but it's coming.

Because that is happening in France, and Canada and Denmark. Countries that have universal health programs and are the best in the world. Meanwhile, where do we rank again? Anyone? Bueller? Saying we have the best healthcare system in the world is like saying you still believe in the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus.

I'm talking about the U.S. where soon national health care will be accepted by Wallmarts doctors
I didn't say we were the best in the world- But I don't think going to Wallmart for healthcare is the solution i'm looking for
