I used up to 5 gallon pots and found that 3 gallons were about perfect. They don't stay water logged early on and provide plenty of root space. What size is your final pot?

Which botanicare product? . I was using they're pure blend pro line in soil. I had pretty good results.Canna coco straight from the bag. Botanicare rehydrated with a weak nutrient solution. Both of those brands are ready to go. Double washed, steamed, and pre-buffered. If people want to take the unnecessary step of rewashing what's already been washed then that's their call and their time.
Perlite is not needed. 100% coco. Plug in some blumats and you're on autopilot. Makes for a boring grow but It's so simple even a caveman can do it.
Botanicare bricked coco. I used that Pure Blend Pro for one run years ago but the stuff was just too damn expensive when you're dumping hydro reservoirs every 10 days or so. And it also sludged everything up.Which botanicare product? . I was using they're pure blend pro line in soil. I had pretty good results.
As @lusidghost said, you can stop at 3 gallon pots, definitely don't need to go higher. I go from starter pots right to 3 gallons. I just pulled 6.4 oz out of a one gallon coco pot no perlite. You don't need larger pots for success in coco.I was going to start out in solo cups then to 3 gal. Then 7 gal. For flower. Does that sound right?
Good to know that will also save me a little money. ThanksAs @lusidghost said, you can stop at 3 gallon pots, definitely don't need to go higher. I go from starter pots right to 3 gallons. I just pulled 6.4 oz out of a one gallon coco pot no perlite. You don't need higher pots for success in coco.
Canna cocoWhat nutrient line do you use?
Are you at full strength? Also I have some house and garden roots excellerator gold. Would that be useful at all during this grow?Botanicare bricked coco. I use 2 gal herc pots for my final home. One transplant. I usually use clones. Start small with seeds its really easy to over water seedlings if the containers to large. How i like to do things is canna a+b 2ml per ltr and work my way up through the run. I go bio rhyzio heavy on the transplant feed ($$$ but nothing like in imo. This is my "buffer" if you wanna call it that) but fall back to 3ml per ltr for the run that doesn't change till around day 11-14 where i switch it out for an bb. Same dosage. Canna zym at 3ml per liter once or twice a week.I was going to start out in solo cups then to 3 gal. Then 7 gal. For flower. Does that sound right?
I wanna hear more about this. Im curious about blumats in coco and rwCanna coco straight from the bag. Botanicare rehydrated with a weak nutrient solution. Both of those brands are ready to go. I run about 1.5 EC when growing in coco. I can't comment on the Roots Accelerator as I've never used those types of products. I still get excellent root growth so I don't think they are needed. In fact I know they are not needed. It won't hurt anything except your bank account. Are you at full strength? Also I have some house and garden roots excellerator gold. Both Canna and Botanicare already perform that process on their coco. Any decent brand of coco is ready to use without rinsing or buffering. Years ago you HAD to WASH the coco because it was full of sand, salt, trach, rocks, sticks, etc... Now that it's become so popular companies are treating it properly instead of just scooping it up from a pile and bagging it up.Idk a thing about it, but I found this and I'm going to try washing/ striping/striping/ washing and buffering like it says. They guy even left links to the stuff you need.
Werd thanks. New to this siteBlumats
I'm not aware of a blumat thread on this forum and i think we need one. I started using them a few weeks ago. Installed them 3 days before I left for 8 days, and came back to plants that grew more than if I was there hand watering. It really got my attention on how effective these are at...rollitup.org
I have a brick of GH and a partial of coco crunch or something. I washed it to clean runoff with water and did the cal/mag buffer last time. I know now that I could have just bought the canna, but I can handle this other thing also.If you're using Canna or Botanicare you're just wasting time washing it and re-buffering. You can plant and grow.
This is incorrect info. It's actually 1.5ml per litre for rhyzio and bb and zym i use. I was going over the math in my head and realized shit I posted the wrong info up there. In coco? When they sprout. How long until you feed for the first time?
Personally here’s the EC I often use with straight coco (canna) out of the bag.
Seeds and early veg 0.4-0.6EC
Mid veg 0.6-0.8
Late veg - 0.8-1.2
Stretch - 1.0-1.4
Mid flower 1.0-1.2
Late flower 1.2-0.6
Finish 0.6
These are receiving 0.8EC pH6
daily feeds
source water is 0.2EC
Straight canna coco out of the bag no rinsing or buffering.
feed every time you water.
