Carport Greenhouse 2010

Ah, that was what I was afraid of. I have been searching forums all over to find an adequate tarp for this task, have you come across any of these light-dep tarps over the years? If so, could you post a link? I am currently looking at 80% mesh tarps, but I am worried that this will not be enough to induce flowering.

I think what I may try to do is actually put my plants in a 5-7 gallon pots, dig an enormous 9' by 6' hole in a hill, and put plants there to flower. I do not think I will have the coin to buy their bulk sizes and since I'm guerrilla growing anyway, I figure this would be the most inconspicuous. This is a little unorthodox, yes, but I figure it may be worth a shot!

jj, i'm sure you've already answered this question, but after (what seemed like hours) a long time of searching, i cannot find anything on it. what is that little orange thing with the cord hanging off one of the cages. i know it's an enclosed light for working under a car or in a shop like setting, but what are you using it for? just wondered.

Your correct, it's a garage drop light. I use it to add a couple of hrs of day length to the natural day time, to keep the plants from flowering early. These plants were started indoors on 18/6. I turn the light off in late June, around the Summer Solstice (longest day of the year). It only has to come on for a couple of hrs at night to keep them from flowering. I'm not using it to grow the plants, just keep them in veg. It works.

doublejj, im the guy who you tubed you. what id your nute line? ydo you just run a subcool super soil hit mix or do you use a line? I went through about half the thread before i gave up. ive never run outdoor and ewasnt sure how most folks feed and you have a very impressive grow. are you also using the foxfarm nute line? anyone who may know please reply, thx

DblJJ.... Is sun only able to shine in from the roof? Did you say you are using fabric to help with ventilation on the sides? I think I can do this...I think. I may be one woman but I have determination and a will to succeed. Do you use lights in the GH? I need to measure my carport, its a 2 car port so maybe I'll just use half. What materials will I need to turn my carport into a greenhouse? What do you use to attach the plastic and the material?
This should get me started.

Home Depot shade cloth for sides and 6 mil plastic sheeting from Home Depot for the roof. Sun can come in from all sides. I am using shade cloth for a roof right now in both greenhouses because of seedlings getting cooked by the sun. In the light dep greenhouse I will probably switch it out for 6 mil plastic when the seedlings are little bit more tolerable of the heat, so the plants can recieve more sunlight. You will need fan(s) also to prevent stagnant, hot air from building up. I use zipties to attach plastic and shade cloth. Heavy duty clamps will work just as well and last longer. DJJ might do a few things different with his. I am just speaking on how I set mine up.

Bingo. this was the pic I was seeking!! got carports on my mind. just wanted to see those block supports. the height challenge seems like a hoot. thanks again brother....
