Ben IS a really nice guy and he is open to emails and phone calls at times (can't say that about any other seedbank owners). however .... in my opinion, some of the genetics need to be re-worked to eliminate the hermie traits. I've only tested 2 strains so far, but both tossed nanners and one tossed full ballz. some of this I'm sure was due to a small light leak I found, but only one of my other strains in that area showed signs (8 different strains). talking with Ben, he states himself that some Roughneck will toss hermies the last couple weeks ---- reallly?? to me, as a grower, this is completly unacceptable. I can't have random pollen chuckers in my flower room and it's SUCH a HUGE pain in the ass to waste hours going through flowers to pick em out. I have one '21' that didn't toss nanners and she grows like a christmas tree ... very citrusy and the nugs are starting to fatten up. I just tossed the last 5 '21' and Roughneck into flowering to see if they will pop (light leak fixed).

would I buy again? we'll see how these other 5 do, any sign of nanners again and I'm probably done with em.

Here are some photos of a female-to-male intersex cannabis plant in early flower. This is a naturally occuring trait that must be selected against if one is to produce seedless cannabis crops.

This particular plant is genetically predisposed to express both male and female flowering structures. It was one of nine female plants grown from a sample of seed. It was grown in a low-stress environment and expressed the condition during the second week of flowering.

If allowed to flower, this plant would likely release pollen in the garden, creating seeds and reducing the value of the crop. It is best to cull these plants as soon as they are identified. If the plant has already released pollen, the effects can be minimized by spraying water over the plants to reduce mobility of the pollen grains and then gently removing it from the garden.
<<no shit. don't forget to mention the ammount of time taken to grow them, clone them for testing (don't want hermie moms now do we, LOL) and then the DAILY time to scour each and every plant for hermies>>

Identifying intersex plants is a very basic and essential cannabis gardening skill, one that most people can master in a very short time.

it really is kind of upsetting as a grower to see this is common with their lines (search for other threads here and elsewhere. blueberry, 21, roughneck are the ones I've seen most) and that they continue to sell those. tells me a lack of quality control and/or care for the end user. in some cases the grower has a LOT more to lose then just a small closet garden, not to mention the ammount of time it takes to search for nanners/ballz daily. if they have problems, scrap the genetics and start over, period. just the same as me killing a bad mom because she will ruin my crop, kill the line before it kills your reputation. does any other manufacturer keep investing in a bad endeavor or scrap the line and move on? product recalls?

my last post on this subject, I won't waste anymore time or effort on it. product not recommended.
