CFL Bagseed and Bender grow

I really want some nachos. I know that was really random but its true. I need more color in my grows. I have a decent surplus of quality seeds but not any purples or multicolored. I really want Pink Cadillac to breed with. I need a US seed bank to have some in stock. Maybe some purple urkle too.

Any who..... Did a watering today. Was excited i saw resin on my leaves. I know its early and not really a big deal but this is when I get amped up. Its my fav time of my grows, when things get shiny.

I'm middle of week 5. I defoliated but did so after these pics in this post. Its more like lollipoping. I took almost all the fan leaves. I know peep debate if defoliation works at all. It has worked for me. So I say, to each his own. Indoor, especially in a small closet or tent, I'd recommend it. I need light to get to my middle stem better and on my bottom popcorn buds. It done right, I've had my bottom fatten up like middle-ish buds.

Fed today. I don't like flushing cuz I don't have the privacy I want to run that much water thru. So I've adopted a water-water-feed routine. Over 9 days, I water twice and feed once. It keeps the buildup down. Now final flushing, that I do. Just hate the regular "salt" flush.

Feeding:

2ml Full On
.8ml Wholly Mackerel
4ml Kelp Me Kelp You
3.2ml Tiger Bloom
4ml Bembe
.25 tsp Beastie Blooms

I want to take a bottom sample. But I may wait another week. The "Fattening" (which would make a great book title about the last few weeks of flowering) won't be for 4 more weeks. I plan to go 9ish. I'll see when it gets to 8 how I feel.

Just a small update. I've gotten fucking gnats again. I did some cleaning Sunday night before lights out. I guess one snuck in when the tent was open. I usually do a soft clean once a month. Just a minor bleach wipe down.

Before my last feeding I clipped the lowest mini nugs since I was lollipopping. Used a foil-toaster method to dry them out. It was 2 thumbnail size nugs. Once grinded, it was enough for a long Raw joint. Halfway thru smoking, still felt nothing, then BOOM. It hit me pretty good. Was a nice 6 hour buzz. I don't regularly sample till about 7-8 weeks in but I had clipped them anyhow so why not.

Didn't see any gnats today. Sprayed them yesterday when I watered. I sprayed my tent and the drain trays. Then sprayed the top soil and added a handful of perlite. I'll check in tomorrow. They are so annoying.

I'm in week 6. I'm excited. Most seeds I've come across say 8-10 weeks. I've always hit week 7 and started checking the trichomes every 3 days from there on out. My Bender plant, the breeder labeled it 70 days, which is another month or so. The bag seeds however are a crap shoot. Neither are bushy. One was really stretchy and the other is more medium height but the branches are tighter packed. My Bender is the tallest at almost 3 feet but the one bagseed is about 2 inches shorter. The look similar in structure as well. I think that bagseed has diesel genetics. The both smell similar. The short one has a fruity scent. My tent has all sorts of foul and fruity smells in it. When I sampled last week, it was from the bag seeds plants.

Today was feeding day. There were so many dead gnats. I was disgusted. About 20 that I actually saw, I'm sure there were more. I'll continue spraying for a couple more days. It breaks my heart them bothering my girls. I started adding Fox Farm's ChaChing this week. I'll run it till the finish flush, which is usually 10 days or 3 waterings. I've used it my last grow with good results. I ran WW a year ago. Grew three with CFLs and the one I didn't run it on had about 8% less than the 2 that got it. Maybe just coincidence but I have it so I'm gonna run it. I'm look at running Rey's Dream seeds next round with an LED upgrade. They have Blue Dream lineage. Might have a nice blueberry smell.

My last week for many of these nuts. Next 2 weeks I'll run just Bembe, Full On and ChaChing. My pH has been in the 6s and temps 70/80. RH has been 40/50 depending on watering.

Ive been watching my plants and think 65 days is my spot. So with my week 7 feeding, I realized that I have one feeding left before a week flush. There are so many nute companies that will swear to you that their "snake water" is the best thing for you plants. I don't see any difference with so many things I've used. I truely believe just an A and B product would do, or compost tea if organic. I do wanna say Myco Fusion and Mammoth P have really strengthened my stalks. They are thicker and my roots are coming out the topsoil. My colas have no additional support.

Week 7 thru 8 will bre the same but I'll keep updating. Every watering and feeding I rotate my plants for all over coverage.

I found seeds. I have no idea how either. I had no hermies. No s. So now I'm in a mood. I found those two males back on 7/24 and instantly trashed them. Since then, I've scrubbed my tent quite a few times due to gnats. The two I threw out were premium seeds so these pollinated plants MAY have a few hidden gems. Still in a mood. I don't even wanna post anymore. I'm borderline angry. I did sample some this week and it was

I'm in week 8. Gonna go 65 days still. My last feeding before I start micro watering (every other day, only 8oz) for a little over a week.

My last post in grow journal. These CFLs didnt do as I had hoped. Thankfully no mites but gnat were ravenous.

I harvested last weekend at 65 day of flowering. Let hang intact, for 5 days. The smoke has been less heady and more body. But really strong penetrating high. It has put me to sleep 5 outta 6 times. When I smoke, it doiesnt even feel like I'm really high till about 10mins after I'm done, then it just rushes in.




I got a bit under 2 ounces. 51 grams. From 18 CFLs. They werent as dense as I had hoped.

Next round I'll start a new log using LED and Earth Juice.
