Full disclosure here... I do not own this app. I just figured why not share what I found.

I was looking online to actually buy a light meter and seen the prices.... so being the tight wad that I am I searched for bargains.. I found an App in the apple store that reads lux and the basic hoo-ha.. but it gives the option to pay to upgrade the app.
TheApp is called “Korona” ironically lol
I found it for iPhone. I took a few screenshots for you guys. Hope it helps someone. Peace ✌

Btw the last pic is of it sitting under the SF1000

Looks nice. I don't have iPhone though... sadly. I signed up to be notified when they release an Android version.

How far below the light is the phone? is it maxed out on the dimmer? Just curious if you only get 862 at 18" in the center. That would be low compared to some of the test videos and stuff I've seen.

That's at 23 inches. Just a twitch under full power.

That was sitting on top of the bud sitting in the middle of the light.. the surrounding branches are all positioned towards the light . Kinda looks like the buds have stadium seating lol

Thanks for the info.. I just paid the $5. Figured what the heck. I’ll spend that at a coffee shop. It actually seemed to do a decent job and the diffuser was def needed. I am a simple hobby guy and not going crazy (yet) so an estimated number works for me. I did see on Amazon they had a decently rated LED PAR meter for $100. About to start my first ever indoor grow now and was worried about my PAR in a 2x4 with the HLG 550 v2 Rspec. (Watt meter dialed down to 300) At 300 Watts at 24” center I was receiving a 670 PAR.

Again this message board has supplied some decent info. I would love to see someone with a PAR meter test the results vs the app. Be interesting to see how close it actually is.

Thanks again to everyone who helps out with great advice and info.

I have a Apogee MQ-500 but I am an android user. I see a LOT of light meter apps in the play store but no Korona for android.

The problem with many cheap PAR meters is they don't read different light sources with "apples to apples" numbers. The MQ-500 is known for being able to compare different light sources like LED and HPS for example. I wonder how this app performs when used with different light sources.

I’m wondering how close this app really is with the readings.
It has different lighting options to choose from. Led white, red/blue and full spec. Hps, cfl, cmh, mh, fl and the sun. From there you choose which kelvin you’re working with and test.

I have a 1000 too.
I’m going to see if we get similar results.
If I could find the 1000 or meijiu 240w par results, i’d see if I could match or get close.
