Cheap water cooler

Demask

After weeks of trying to keep my water cool in various different ways I finally found a solution that works for me.

Now im sure experienced growers have already done this at some point, but I personally had such a hard time trying to find something that would work for cheap and it seems to me like there is quite a few out there that feel the same way.

So as you can see a very simple method and it should work as long as you have the space to hook the ventilation duct in. all together you could probably do something like this for around 20-30 bucks most of that money being spent on the fan and im sure you could even drop it down to 10-15 or less.

It dropped my water temps down to the mid to high 60's depending on how cold I have my room set to. However there are some draw backs for sure. First off its a clunky ass mess ( granted most of that is on me I was working with what I had ) and the second major issue is the constant evaporation.

The evaporation may be a kinda good/bad thing however since now that im adding water more regularly im sure it will also keep the water a lot cleaner for the roots.

Supply list:
Fan
Any kind of air ventilation
Filter - optional ( can never be too safe )

The prices on all 3 of those vary obviously but if you get a fan with a decent air flow you should be gravy.

Well I hope this helped as it was quite annoying for me before I had this placed in.

No, it is a thermoelectric chiller that pumps water through the cold side of a peltier plate. That might be ok for like 5 gallons, but I would seriously question how long that will last. Amazon and Ebay are rife with those china models.
Drop the 350 on a decent chiller. When you harvest that 350 isnt going to mean shit.

Thermoelectric is extremely inefficient produces a lot more heat than the cooling it provides. I have a 300W one kickin around from a few years ago I've used for shits and giggles on different projects. Waste of money for this purpose.
