clones won't root in ez-cloner

I've had some clones in my home built ez-cloner for about three weeks and they still are not rooting.

They have had those white bumps that show up before roots for about 15 days now but still aren't showing roots. I have changed the reservoir a few times and always keep the ph at 5.5, I also add a little bit of peroxide to keep everything healthy and clean.

My res temps were creeping up early on but I have dealt with that, still no roots.

Any ideas?

I make a mini-greenhouse with a clear plastic garbage bag. I put it on a shelf about two thirds up the wall and hang two cool white four foot tubes over it, attached to the ceiling. Put a layer of ordinary gravel in it for drainage. There is a drain/air hole in the bottom about 2 inches round. I cut rockwool slabs into 2" x 2" x 3"h cubes. I use a #2 powdered rooting agent and insert my snips into it stopping about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the cube. You'll have to make the hole to insert your snip. After placing them in the mini-greenhouse using a sprayer refill the rockwool cubes with water. Give the clones a good misting with the sprayer and all but the drain/airhole seal up the greenhouse. You'll have to mist it again 5-7 days later. You should have roots by then. If they are left in the bin after they are rooted the door has to be left open a crack and water frequently with the sprayer using a light solution (1/6 reccommended for dirt) of ferts. Read the instructions on the rockwool.

your not covering stem with water are you you want to keep above water so only little water splashes from bubbles on them dont put any nutes but i dont think you did cause you didnt mention it put littl plastic clear dixie cups over the top if possible but are they still healty you only want a little water so they will grow roots if not to much and they will survive of it and not grow roots

what are your res temps? you want to be at about 70 until the roots pop.

i dont ph my ez cloner. staight tap is 100ppm 7.0ph here. works fine.

LIGHT. the cloner MUST be light tight. if its not, the light will kill the roots and or grow bacteria that will kill the roots.

keep the res temps in check, add 1tablespoon of 3% h202 per gallon of water in the cloner per day. Thats regular store bought hydrogen peroxide.

if the cloner holds 1 gallon of water add 1 tbsp of h202 to it every day. this will stop shit from growing in the water.

once the roots pop you will need to keep the water at about 63 degrees to keep the nasty bacteria at bay.

Sounds like a lot of extra effort. I've used nothing but mini-greenhouses for 23 years now. It works and it's simple.

Thanks for all the help I've got the temps lower now, and I'm adding h202 I guess I just have to wait.

Bird, I'm definitely using another procedure next run, probably something like what you have going, but for now I want to make this Aero thing work.
