Can one make a full grown clone into a mother and then take clones from that for growing and flowering?

yes sir. you absolutely can. I have heard that if you do it too many times they become weaker but i dont see why it would happen. IMO a clone is an exact genetic match of the mother. What reason would there be for any variation?

yes, why keep a mother though? here what i would do......set up seperate vegging and flowering areas (which you probally did already since you wanna keep a mother), then veg the first plant generation till your ready to flower, about 2 weeks b4 you plan on moving them into the flower chamber take 2-4 clones from the bottom of the plants and carefully mark which clones came off which plant. after sexing the plants in 12/12 kill all males and clones that are male. by the time flowering is done the new clones should be rooted and vegged and ready to flower, take 2-4 cuttings off each of those just like you did with the first plants and then just continue the cycle.....

thanks for the quick responses guys. that perpetual growing with clones may just be a better idea then keep mothers. ill have to try that, thanks again.

This is true. Having a mother for an extended period of time...talking at least more than one year. The stress from repeated cutting and unnaturally long veg time can cause genetic mutations in the mother. These are almost always negative. It is advisable to change out your mother plants before the years start adding up.
