Cloning question

Can you just take a single leaf for cloning? Most guides seem to show a main stem with two leaves coming out of a node, I want to know if I can clone just from the cuttings I made doing some very light defoliation?

U can do it with the right equipment hogbud. Here's an old thread about LEAF TISSUE CULTURE. it can be done with Cannabis also it's just a pain in the butt and takes a long time to get results. If u google LEAF TISSUE CULTURE u can find out more about it. U basically use meristem cells (undifferentiated cells in plants. In people it's stem cells) and these meristem cells I believe come from the stem.

^^^^is that a leaf clone? So once it grows roots u can plant it correct? And will it grow stems and leaves? I've never done it but I think it's fascinating.

I always found cuttings from the upper canopy to be better and faster at rooting but yeah u can take the lower cuttings and even if it takes a few extra days it's still worth it.

don't get carried away with your cuttings, mother nature is very genorous , don't abuse her genorosity,,, by the way does anyone know how to spell genrous.

Noo, I certainly won't get carried away don't worry. If the plant could not have "afforded" the two cuttings I took I would not have taken them.

I needed a cutting as soon as possible for a friend, but my plants are only a month old, I will be waiting a good few weeks before I take any further cuttings for myself.
