No doubt bra. Beezy wouldn't mind either!
You mind if I remix some of your songs bro?
I'll start working on it this week.No doubt bra. Beezy wouldn't mind either!
Great, thanks for the awesome response man. I am going to study up heavy now, I think I have enough info to go off of to get things done.Worm casting DO NOT BURN haha! Not at all. I've read that you can grow in them alone lol..And that it wasn't ideal, but possible WITHOUT A DOUBT!
And I haven't burned anything using them yet! It had to be something else that burnt ya....Think about what you used and get back to me...Wasnt the worms tho!
They do help hold moisture tho, so you right about adding the perlite to help with drainage...The green sand also helps retain moisture while adding trace elements and minerals to the soil..Also it just improves the soil structure. All soil has some sand in it! Just trying to mock nature..
The green sand take FOREVER to break down tho...I'm talking a year or years haha so its mostly just a soil conditioner at this point...As it breaks down it provides a finite amount of K, but that wont be for another year haha or half one...
YOU ALSO REUSE YOUR SOIL OVER AND OVER AGAIN! So you don't gotta by anymore...You just amend it again ans let it sit after you use it.
So one day that green sand will be noticed!
Kelp Meal and Tomato Tone together for variety bro....The kelp meal also serves as food and a soil enrichment as it adds to the mineralization of the soil, as well trace elements. So it double as both...
MORE IT BETTER in terms of VARIETY....NOT QUANTITY...Put too much in the soil and you ruin it...
My first mix was just that lol my first mix, so I went light on everything to see how I'd do....
My second mix is mixed as it should be! I didn't go light on anything...I would copy the second one if I were you! I know it's gonna be a BEAST of a mix!
And as far as your lime....like it said I only added a little becuase I didn't know as much about soil and I read over and over again adding too much lime raise my PH....So I added just a bit...
Ppl are out there hating on Fox Farm Ocean Forest for whatever reason...saying it's ph is unstable and blablablaaaaa....
I test the PH of the bag I just bought at 6.5 outta the bag. That's WEED HEAVEN....Fuck are they going off on? Saying it's not organic and it's shit blablaba.....
My plants disagree haha!
But yeah that at lot of lime bro! 22 tbsps per bag! thats 66 teaspoons haha! Just seems like a lot!
Less is always better than more, becuase you can always add to ya know..
I'm gonan start a nice thread here soon and post everything I know there....hopefully it'll catch on and we can get some more learning done
Plan on itHaha, I love you guys! Remix dat shit yo.

I have a bunch of used mix just sitting in a bin waiting to be used for something. I hesitate to use it again because I used synthetic nutes first couple runs... but I do have a lot of extra soil just sitting around. Perhaps I should mix it up and let it sit? I was worried because of any nutes that might still be in it as well as ilttle bits of roots that are in there. (I shook the rootballs out vigorously, and sorted as much of it as I could but there are still little bits)
Okay, but yeah, I think I got a good idea of how to proceed now. I'm gonna read up on that literature you recommended then start buying some ingredients up tomorrow or monday.
Couple quick Q's:
1, I noticed that bone meal and blood meal are in LC's mix but not yours, (unless I missed it)--what do these provide, and what are you putting in in place of them to reach the same end?
and second... I definitely want to check out your second mix, but i am not sure exactly where it is? I haven't had time to dig through every page of your thread yet. Can you link me direct to the second mix, or post it up for me?
be careful with this type of situation, make the vets DO THIER JOBS. ive seen many an animal die this way pay attention to any new symptoms as they can lead to UI.Sounds good man, much thanks. I will try to get it rinsed good when the spring rolls around and I have the means. Then maybe I can get it mixed up and let it sit, reuse it later in the season.
Ugh, pet problems... my cat's had to go to the vet like four times in the last week now... had a urinary blockage that they fixed, but then he got constipated from the pain killers... got him on laxatives yesterday and now he still hasn't pooped and he's got blood in his urine... dang, stressful as hell... we live kinda rural so it's 45 minutes out to a vet that's open at night. GF's running him over there again right now. I'm stressed out! I hate seeing animals suffer.
Yeah, we're trying hard to get him fixed up... he is on urinary control food, and then we switched to the canned version when he got constipated, so that's covered. I am going to call and recommend x-ray right now, good call.be careful with this type of situation, make the vets DO THIER JOBS. ive seen many an animal die this way pay attention to any new symptoms as they can lead to UI.
the first place to start with is the cats diet, time for a new food. soft food would not be a bad idea. did they take xrays to be sure the cat did not eat something it could not digest correctly like a large rat and the bones are not decaying as they should?
yeah no prob, my dog died last year because the vets did shit in the wrong order underestimated the problem and gave incorrect treatment. he had to be put down. makes me very very sad to this day, he was my best friend.Yeah, we're trying hard to get him fixed up... he is on urinary control food, and then we switched to the canned version when he got constipated, so that's covered. He doesn't eat animals, he's an indoor cat and he's never eaten any animals... but he does eat elastics and string sometimes if we're not careful, so it's still a good idea. Trying to get ahold of my gf now to tell her to get them to do xray...
I'm sorry to hear that man. Losing pets is so hard.yeah no prob, my dog died last year because the vets did shit in the wrong order underestimated the problem and gave incorrect treatment. he had to be put down. makes me very very sad to this day, he was my best friend.
just pay attention it only took one week for me to lose my friend. i feel your pain 110% altar.I'm sorry to hear that man. Losing pets is so hard.
Shit like that makes me angry. I've had a lot of problems with doctors first hand so I am pretty paranoid about misdiagnosis and shit. My other cat kept hissing at him and now I can't help but wonder if she was detecting something beyond just him smelling funny from being at the vet. At first we figured she just didn't like the vet smell, but she hasn't stopped for the whole two days he's been home, we've had to separate them to keep them from scrapping... now I can't help wonder if she was trying to tell us somethin.
Did someone say meow?
I want to know right meow!
Sounds marvelous brother.Alright Sincerely, I just ordered in all the ingredients I'll need via amazon... lil expensive but the best I can do mid-winter. I'll restock locally in larger amounts when the weather's right for that kind of shopping, if everything goes well with this.
Gotta say, thanks for encouraging me to take the leap on this.. I have been looking at soil mixes from day 1 but it seemed overwhelming, and I think I wasted a lot of money on other fertilizers, heh. Maybe I can resell them on craigslist or ebay... not sure about selling partials on ebay tho.
I've got an incubator tub I built for shroomies a way back... I'm thinking I will mix in that tub and then use the incubator feature to heat my mix to encourage ageing faster indoors. I usually incubate at 80, which is great for psilocybin mycellium, so I figure it'd be good for the myco I'm adding in this case too. Sound good?
Well I haven't mixed yet but I ordered the stuffs for and plan to follow Sincerely's latter mixture... this recipe:So what soil mix did you go with altar?
