BS. You're buying garbage. It's not a matter of thinking cheap at all. Most people would say that leds like that are too expensive actually.

Yeah and only you get good returns. I still don't think you get it. You're not the only one who grows weed anymore. Now everyone does it. You're just a stubborn old man who still thinks that boiling roots does something.
 
If you're going to spend such ridiculous amounts of money on a tape deck, you may as well consider upgrading to a solid-state hard drive.

Why be like that? I use agromax bulbs at $9 a piece and $20 for the UV.

Everyone has a reason to grow the way they do. As long as the person is happy what difference does it make?

T5 has one pro, mixed spectrum. It produces a high quality product.

For a personal grow it is perfect for growing fire weed.

I have pics in this thread and my thread of three foot plants. Large hard colas. 2-3 ounces a piece. Maybe 4 oz on the biggest one. So 6-10 ounces in 90 days.

Plenty enough for personal use.

Wow this is interesting :). Really this thread is about T5's right, and not a comparison thread right? Why all the bickering? Do I agree with RM that t5's grow better plants? No, but I do think you can grow comparable plants with them if choosing the right strain and dialling it in, which he has. T5's have their place in all this and even I have done some pretty ok grows with em (that's saying a lot lol) but didn't work them. If people want to grow with em, well that's their prerogative. It's turned into a war between two oversized ego's butting heads but in the wrong thread, it's the T5 club. It would be like a solo cup club thread having a guy come in and say his 10 gallon smart pots are better lol. But keep it up fellas it's interesting :).

I never said it's nothing. RM3 constantly goes around making implications that his weed is 10x better than the next man's. It's a ridiculous claim. He's just trying to make himself feel better about having spent 32 dollars a tube on his wasteful setup.
 
I like using them for veg and clone starting if that counts lol. I also tried actinic lighting and didn't see a difference in anything, no better, no worse, again didn't work it and it was in veg only. I think Church's argument holds true in the fact that I doubt T5's grow more potent product. Perhaps adding UV does promote trich production but have not worked that much either and it gets directed at one or two plants each run and don't see a huge difference if any either. Again T5's, IMO have their place in the room and if you want to follow RM's advice then yes by all means have at er lol. But IMO and my experience they work fine for a small personal grow where heat is a concern as well as power consumption. I use cheaper sun-blaster tubes and get great vegging results. FYI the actinic lights do make for great pics. :).

Just like you're making yourself feel better by "showing us the light". This is t5 dedicated thread, literally the last place someone should go to talk down on T5s and compare them to other lights. I understand what you are saying and you have valid points, but know one here cares. People use what they think works best for them, simple as that. Also not everyone is buying $32 bulbs stop quoting that like its fact we all do it because one person suggested it.

Please stop posting in this thread you clearly dont like T5s and don't belong here.

Well just realize that your T5 tubes are about 25% efficient while 600W HPS is closer to 35%.

HPS is a much better grow lamp.

Ok first off generally people using T5s are restricted and cant use a HPS for either space reasons or heat reason. So the comparison is useless for many T5 growers, maybe like a 250 watt I could understand the argument.

Second I'm not even growing right now, I haven't grown for years and was doing some research on lights as I used to us T5 I was checking out what people were saying about them now. You are not coming off as informative to me, just annoying like a know it all.

Third the main reason I was looking at T5 was for a small veg cab, which makes perfect sense to use. I will probably be flowering with something else.

My reason for trying it is to try it lol. Most of what I do is just to see if it works and it's fun :).
