hey bro, beautiful setup, one of the best I've seen.

May I ask what's the science in cutting the leaves on the clones or snipping them? is it just to make space for the ones next to it? or does it trigger a boost in rooting?

lol you dont have to dont really care :) the out come of this grow les to a personal friendship/business ship to be completely ruined along with a few thousand dollars :/ . Took me a while to get back up on my feet and get shit going again but all is well now. Got a very similar set up but vertical and no more liquid lumens. and a lot cleaner set up ;-)

It suppose to help the cutting concentrate more on root production then feeding the leafs. I experiments with this one for about 4 months and my conclusion read that unless your taking 6-8" cuttings its really not necessary :)

ya it started with a myth i heard probably about 10 years ago and started screwing with it. Got challenged by a fellow grower later on stating that its just a myth. So we put it to the test :-D
 
suTraGrow did you have any issues with interference on that tri-meter you have? I have the nutri-dip very similar to that and it goes berserk with the digital ballast on. It's like I only get true readings with the light off. I'm gonna try locating the ballast on top of my tent and moving the tri-meter even further away this time.
 
Yes i did haha There crap when around a 600w ballast or higher. Had it in the budding room 18 feet away from the ballasts with 3 walls in between them still no change. That was 4x1000 ballasts tho. Ended u p giving it away and just got the hannah combo pen. Love that dam thing :-D
 
Haha oh m an i found 3 pics these are all from the new flowering room set up. That's a 7' 6" Vanilla Kush i harvested cpl months ago that was in the room ;) These are still with 3x 600watt Upgraded to 3x1000watt now.

suTraGrow I wanted taller plants like that but I was thinking of cutting the sheetrock in the ceiling and flush wounting the hood in the attic. I could still lower it on a cable pulley rigged to ceiling rafters. Looks like you went side lighting huh? Looks like that works just fine. Did you supplement with alot of sunlight from that window too?

That plant wasn't grown in that room that a bathroom lol. Just pulled her out for the lighting ;)
 
Sad how haters are so predictable isn't it sutra? You get ahead a little and the hater-roaches come out of the walls. Love how you're rocking the vert setup man. Someone once told me that once your go vert, you never go back. I'm doing my first vert this cycle myself but it's just a little 400 watt grow. nothing like you're doing. Props. I hope to get on that scale someday.

Haa i feel you on that. But as the great Katt Williams said " It should be your god dam job to get one hater a day just another mother fucker jealous of your success" ;) Great motto to live by haha.

I really do enjoy the vertical set up NO MORE POPCORN NUGS!!! was dam psyched about that. Now i love my bubble hash and bho so the lack of trimming popcorn nugs does kinda suck. But Ever since i went vert about 2 years ago I've only been growing trees So have way more then enough trimmings. Dont even flower them till they get about 5'5" sometimes more. Thats the beauty of vertical.
I ran a SOG operation before this. Exact copy of the Al B. Fuct set up. Love it and was hard to shift to vertical although I've never been happier i made the leap. But the cutting of clones every 10-14 days, making sure there at least 8"-10" when cut etc... plus being a full time student was just to much on my plate.
Went vertical grow bigger trees now and trust me nothing better then walking into a indoor flowering room with 3-6 6-8ft monsters in there in full flowering mode. the smell is amazing and after a few rips of some bho out of the vapor globe i do tend to get lost in there haha :-D true story to.
I dont think im gonna be doing another way of growing for a while. Loving this way a little to much.

Might start a separate thread for the vertical tree set up. Few dispensary that i grow for offered me a bigger location.
So gonna try to put up 4 1000s with passive ventilation for each one individually. Vertically. Still in the planning tho.

Man i wish i had the time to document it all while it was getting build. Being a full time student my time i s very scarce.
Ill probably throw them all my ideas and there gonna pick and choose what fits there budget hehe.
Might not even happen with all the b.s going on with cali dispensary's. Seems to be a new anti dispensary law created everyday.
