Hate to take away from a good product here. But $266.20 per kilo, for what's effectively 1kg x organic matter and nitrogen, seems a bit rich doesn't it?
Who's to say you can't mix the same plant materials together yourself and reach the same carbon / nitrogen ratio as Active 5-10-10?
Just throwing it out there.
$266.20 per kg is outrageously expensive for what the product realistically is. Nothing state of the art about it, in my very honest opinion.
An analogy might be the comparison of the difference in effectiveness and price between bottled synthetic nutrients and whole salts form. Both achieve the same goal, but price is so much different.
I realize too, that for organic matter to be healthy soil, then parent material is important. Because besides local environment, parent material is introducing specific forms of life as well, plus carbon. For example veganics vs conventional, the microbiology would vary slightly.
Just my 2cents worth here.
Besides your own local environment and it's own source of parent material. What's stopping you from replicating exactly the same product, by sourcing the same ingredients and making it yourself. If all your CO2 gas is the result of decomposition and microbial activity?
I'd also argue it's your own controlled local environment causing the high CO2. Not Active 5-10-10.
"Active 5-10-10" even suggests this in it's own product name...
$266.20 / kg seems ridiculous for something which is essentially just a mix of green and brown matter..
