does this one fit on a cxb 3070?
 
CXA and CXB have the package size so it should work fine with CXB.

I have a question about the ideal holders. I just got some in the mail today and notice each plastic clip has two wire entry points. Why are there two if running in parallel isn't an option?

Also, I got these holders from Newark and they don't have keyholes for the screws. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have that feature. I don't know if they are getting rid of an older version or what.
 
The second hole is a release slot, Put a 1mm nail etc in there and it will release your wire from the other hole. It's somewhere in a description (datasheet maybe).

Mine didn't have that keyway shaped screw slot either (purchased last year), I considered they were different setups in the different size holders, hasn't been an issue.. just need accurate hole'
 
What do you mean by keyway / keyhole? I just got some ideal holders for my CXBs and they do have little slots in the screw holes that you can rotate the whole thing to lock it in I guess.
 
Yeah, my cx30 holders don't have that extended hole, just a round one.

Do the screw heads come through the largest end of the hole so you can remove the holder without removing screws? That would be a better idea for the mounting stage imo.

bizfactory, where did you get them from? And yes, no slots on mine just round holes. Mine arrived yesterday from Newark.

After a bit of a look around.... I don't think so. Don't quote me on this but it looks like COB's remain the same physical size as long as the 35 or 25 is the same. e.g. a holder for CXA35.. will suit a holder for a CXB35.. The holder you have suggested is for a CXA18.. or CXA25.. Again don't quote me as this is just from looking through data sheets, not from actual experience.

Sure, CXA and CXB are of the same dimensions. A holder that fits certain CXA, fits also it's CXB counterpart. They're meant to be a drop-in replacement.

2 Cxb3070 AD bin (1 for my next build)

Unfortunately I've never soldered or wired and Im lost but I'm going for it lol
 
Uzzi, did Newark gouge you for delivery? When I ordered from them a year ago they charged $14 for Priority Delivery or some such nonsense, but I mighta missed checking the Super Saver box.
