that cool dude, you might want to just feed them like a quarter strength or nutes, and remember coco specific nutes only. like i mentioned in my thread all i use is the canna A-B, and floralicious bloom(bloom booster by GEN HYDRO). but hey if just looks like a wash, cut your best stems off , clone 'em, and just start over. i also mention how i start my clones in coco, and i haven't lost one clone in two years. PEACE!!! -ZEN-
i've been feeding them all with the same mix, i probably should mix something lighter for the smaller ones...
feeding canna coco a+b with advanced sensi cal/mg and voodoo. i use ro water that's at 6.5pH and <5ppm because my tap is 300ppm and fucking nasty chlorinated flouridated pharm'ed recycled piss. so because canna says to use tap water i first add 100ppm cal/mg and mix to get a consistent baseline every time.
then i add the a+b at about 600-650ppm right now. then i use 2tsp/gal voodoo - about 1/3 of an's stupidly high instructed dose (i'll definitely be trying out rhizotonic once i use up my voodoo). comes out to 700-750ppm then i raise the pH to just over 5.4 trying to get there with one shot of pH up.
i mix in 5gal buckets so after mixing i throw an air stone in there, aerate for an hour, recheck pH (its usually almost 5.5 by then), then feed.
i hand feed twice a day with a 500mL water bottle, 10 3gal pots from 0.5L-1.5L each feeding according to need and i feed 12hrs apart. running drain to waste, 5 gallons lasts me about 3-4 feedings with very little runoff...much more expensive than my dwc setups.
i don't mean to overestimate everyone's interest with this novel but it seems like you folks are having a much easier time with this and i don't get it.
i'd really like this shit to work because i'm tired of pH spikes everytime i try new things and cleaning airstones all the time. also, because horticultural grade H2O2 isn't available around here, a beneficially populated medium would be nice to combat the constant threat of root rot and other b.s. that comes with introducing organics into dwc.
i'm really glad this thread is here or i'd have probably ditched coco and went back to dwc already. eventually i'd like to keep two mothers at a time each in a 5gal bubble bucket and do all my clones & crops in coco. i think that'd be the best use of what i have on hand already anyways.
