Most municipal water companies use Chloramine now. That will not evaporate. You can find out if your water company uses it. If so, you do not need to let your water sit unless you want it to be room temp.
You can get a chlorine filter, but results vary.
RO filters are cheap.
You can also buy vitamin C powder (very cheap) and add a 1/4 tsp per gallon to remove chloramines. I definitely think RO is the way to go though, if you can swing it.
