It all depends on what type of results you are going for, if you water coco like soil (every few days) you will get soil type results, if you water coco like a hydroponics substitute (everyday) you will get hydroponics type results.

I don't think either way is really wrong, both will grow some weed.

You are a bit confusing, do you mean like a hydro substrate?
I get my coir from a local small processor and have to rinse
my coir several times and and then treat in a calcium nitrate
solution with the EC 2.0 for 24 hours.

Treat coco like you are growing in hydroponics rocks to get hydroponics results, i have even put it in my hydroponics bucket and used it instead of hydroton with a RDWC system, worked great.

Coco doesn't have any nutrients in it, it works great if you give it a lot of nutrients everyday.

Coco is hydroponics, it's not soil. Coco is able to hold 30% oxygen when saturated - even more if it's amended with perlite. The daily feeding not only replenishes the nutes, but more importantly it pulls in fresh oxygen to the root zone. If you want fast growth feed daily.

What is the size of your pots? What ec are your feeds? Size of the plants? Are they cuttings or seed? Are you sure it's just not a lagging cutting that wasn't as healthy as the others? Many questions could be answered with a little more info!

Hey guys thx for all the replys. I cant get on here as often as I'd like so I'm gonna give full details of my setup and expectations at the end of it......plants r uk cheese and blue cheese both dinafem grown in canna coco pro plus this is my first run in my newly built setup,I have a 10ft×12ft flowering room 6×6 veg and 4×2 room for clones and seedlings.......I have 6 lights (4000w)in my flower room 2 lights(1200w) in the veg space with a 125w cfl in my cloning space( 4×2ft )everywhere has its own intake and outake so the climate is usually ok(unless it really hot outside)I've been using the full canna range for about a year now .....but.......I've been treating it more like soil(feeding and watering when dry)and this has enevitably lead to me pretty much getting soil results. ......so.......this time I've been doing as instucted with coco and treating it more like hydro with feed and water being done everyday....but ....I've not been as happy with the way they r growing,my bud looks smaller than normal and the plants stems just seem to be lighter ilooking(lime green)although the leaves r actually a deeper green than normal .....I've been putting this down to overwatering but I've been told this cannot happen in coco........here's wot ive been doing ........
4 weeks into flower they r getting,a+b 25ml per 10ltr,calmag 10m per 10ltr,pk 9/18 2.5m per10ltr (Buddha tree highly concentrated)everyday........every 4th day they get 25ml zym with 25ml of boost on top of the outher nuits.........EC is sitting around from 1600-2000 depending on if its a zym,boost feeding with ppm aroundthe 900 Mark......pots r 25ltr square atami (plastic)......these plants r all from seed apart from 1 (the best one) .......I have 10 large plants most r 6ft tall and 4ft wide with one smaller plant triple cheese by Barneys farm(old seed) i defo reckon that its not down to genes ......i still think its something I'm possibly not doing right.........thx again guys....

Those are big pots for coir. I grow 6 foot plants in 9 liter pots. At that feed strength I would be worrying about salt build up.
I can't help with the Canna nutrients as i've never ran them but at a 4-4-3 ratio just doesn't sound right to me, not enough K in the bases. Then again why are you adding the cal-mag if it's a complete nutrient?
I run RO without a cal-mag product in my set-up as my nutrients have enough cal-mag in them.
Maybe @im4satori could help you out with a nutrient mix for the Canna.

I run this for veg

And this for flower

That's it nothing more, no humic or fulvic acids, no outrageous bloom boosters.

I've been looking at changing the nuits because its ridiculous the amount of food they(canna)have u use........when I was growing in soil i was using alot less nuits and effort but I was willing to put the extra effort in for the overall gain in coco.......wot did u mean with the 4-4-3 ratio?mostly everyone ive spoke to says to use alot of cal/mag because they need it........i need to UNDERSTAND how best to use food in coco........the thing is finding that sweet spot that suits both the plants and myself.......wot do u mean when u say its a complete nuit....

what size pots are your huge plants in?

frequency of watering need would be directly related to pot size and pot size directly related to how quickly the medium dries out

a large pot with a small plant will dry slower than a large pot with a huuge plant

you can put a large plant into a small pot and water frequently or put it in a larger pot and water less frequently

if you want to talk about the nutes I need a picture of the % info from each bottle being used and what its derived from

more frequently watered plants will require a lower EC, less frequently watered plants in large pots might require a higher EC and periodic flushing if enough water volume isn't being pushed thru with each watering

so you cant just ask another grower how he does it and then copy him

it depends on your environment and grow style and circumstance

lastly;
it is possible to over water coco

Canna states that it's a complete nutrient with everything the plants need.
Too much cal can be more detrimental as not enough. A lot harder to get rid of excess calcium than to add more when the plants tell you they need more.

I have some canna coco info saved but need to confirm its the same as wht hes got

npk 0.8-4-2.2 Ca 0% Mg 1.1%

thatll work, the maxi dry nutes are a good product

personally id run the maxigrow during veg and 50/50 maxibloom /maxigrow for the first half of bloom and then the maxi bloom only the second half of bloom
full strength per gallon

veg
4 grams maxi grow

early bloom
2 grams maxi grow
2 grams maxi bloom

lat bloom
4 grams maxibloom

Yea satori.......I'm NOT asking ANYONE so that I can COPY them........trust me mate I ain't no fkn fool.......I am simply trying to understand the best way to use this food CORRECTLY. ....YES..................I have 5.7 gallon or 25 ltr pots am I being specific enuff for you yet.......I feel I have to enlighten you on something. .....I am not new to growing like u have just made me out to be I've been growing for over 4 years now so I'm sure I no enuff to no that a bigger plant in a smaller pot would need to be watered more frequently ..........basically wot i need to no is ratios........how to APPLY this food (canna)is it the recommended manufacturers dose......is it applied every watering or is it HALF like it would be in soil......and is every outher watering.......so far I've been told more is better .....but.....this simply put is not what my plants r telling me ......the buds on my plants r SMALL for being 4 weeks in flower...........
