You already know. Haha. These things take forever. Hence why they're so rare. People pick them and police destroy them, and they take so damned long.He won't be a baby boy then lol
Many years ago I had a fairly large rare cacti collection, some I had started back in high school. I got really avid after I was discharged and built it up, I had 3 Lophophora. Any way after grad school I got a gig in Minnesota so left the collection in the care of a friend. Long-short, worst rainstorm in 20 yrs, high-peaked roof and the collection got flooded and died. You already know. Haha. These things take forever. Hence why they're so rare. That is a fucking tragedy. Like, really, that hurts me to my core. Between Ayahuasca and mescaline-bearing cacti, they've been a real medicine for me. Like, weed helps, but psychedelics help me keep my shit straight for several months at a time. Particularly with how slow these little guys grow, it's a real shame to hear. Many years ago I had a fairly large rare cacti collection, some I had started back in high school. I tend to buy pre-sterilized single-use spawn bags with filtered gas exchange vent and self-healing injection ports. It's only 5-6 bucks each for two 1 lbs. spawn bags and one 5 lbs. mushroom compost bag. It takes out the tedious part of having to pressure cook jars of BRF and crossing your fingers you pasteurized and sterilized correctly.Nice! We grew them in quart masons. I like your way better
We did ours in the lab in grad school, 4 of us were growing, made everything in the lab, pro equipment, etc. Thank you UCI tend to buy pre-sterilized single-use spawn bags with filtered gas exchange vent and self-healing injection ports. Bridgesii, yeah? I prefer Pachanoi, but I'd like to grow Peruvianus.I opted for the much quicker growing cacti, that cacti putty was made from about as much cacti that's on the uncut one so should have a couple good trips View attachment 3956870View attachment 3956871 View attachment 3956872
Peruvianus usually has long, brown spines. That could also be Pachanoi (San Pedro)These are Peruvians , I'm pretty sure
Holy Fuck! You may have to arm wrestle @cannabineer first.
If I get them under lights, a year, year and a half. Maybe 2 or 3. Under sun, 10-20 years.
Right? You can accelerate then by grafting then to something like a San Pedro, though. And they then share alkaloid profiles.Holy Fuck!
1 or 2 or 3 years? That's a long ass grow journal.
