Nah. Sadly, SF seems to be in a lifelong 'romance' with chemical hell, sigh. Do you remember when that 'qwizo' guy used to post here, before he was outed as a phony?

The thing is, I've tried with the kid, I sincerely have. Between the erratic mood shifts and random outbursts I'm beginning to think - as many here do - that he's a lost cause. I say this with zero sarcasm or malice.

It's usually the case with 'hard'/chemical drug abusers and addicts, yeah. 'Consuming' the deep-seated pain/shame/etc. Childhood trauma/abuse often comes into play.
But I'm not going to speculate any further, it's not my place.
