Companies forced to disclose CEO-workforce pay gap

I thought you guys were pumping the 15.00 guys. Now you are pumping what could be people making good money to get more. That CEO you are pissed at because of his pay check, what do his employee's make now? That way if we know the pay scale the argument would make more sense.

CEOs have unfair advantages to inflate their own and one another's paychecks. It IS collusion, which IS a form of corruption.

You need to read up on how boards of directors and their compensation committees work at major corporations before making any more statements like this, or you'll just be telling everyone how ignorant you are of the relevant facts.

Once you do your homework, I'm convinced you'll be as incensed at the current state of affairs as any bleeding heart liberal, lol

Right. The employees don't sit on one another's boards and vote in pay raises for their buddies, who reciprocate by voting in similar pay for them. THAT'S not a scam, is it?! o_O

If it was a scam you can turn them into the SEC or something. I have a feeling that you would fail at business.

You'd definitely fail, because it appears you're too lazy to do your homework.

The fact that we Americans have legalized corruption doesn't make it any less reprehensible.

I have been self employed for over thirty years and have seen the weak people get weeded out of my line of work for a very long time. So you are a little bit late for thinking I would fail. I guess that diploma has worked out good for you. good luck.

I was more interested in this:

"compensations at US corporations are already fairly detailed and that information is already available to interested investors.

“To an institutional investor, it doesn’t make a difference. It’s good for discussion. It’s good for press, but won’t make the institutional investors vote differently"

So, no one really gives a shit. Pretty much par for the course when observing OP's posts.

bernie does. elizabeth does. cory does. kristen does..

But it isn't 1927... it's WORSE!

i had this same thought over the course of the last few weeks except it's almost more like the industrial revolution in america/uk 1840's++

it's very 'a christmas carol' like..ebenezer scrooge..tiny tim metaphorically..a time where the elite ruled and homelessness rampant.

I'm sure someone will quickly develop an "APP" that will tell you the pay disparity on the spot before you buy. You know one of those little black & white puzzle squares you scan with your phone on the way in the door.....cool8)

Bucky boy. Why do you create so many super friends? is it because black kids don't like you anymore?

I've followed a few of your posts, and I can't help but notice that you seem to have a bit of a problem with Buck's stances on issues involving race. It always seems to be in the form of a little jab about being a "hero" of "savior" of some sort. Kinda says more about you than it says about Buck. Now just tell us how you REALLY feel.

Add to that the fact that a lot (most) of their compensation comes in the form of stock, which when sold is not treated as ordinary income and is taxed as a capital gain at 17%, the numbers are even further skewed.
