Control odor & sterilize your room air + surfaces 24/7 + eliminate PM

So, dumb question maybe but there arent any units that are for smaller grows, like a grow tent in a basement setup with 3-5 total plants? Im very happy with my carbon scub setup but am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest.

The smallest unit is for a 5500 cuft area or a 3666 cuft flowering room, although we can tune it down a little for smaller areas, I highly doubt it would be good for a space as small as a tent. That said one could just use it in the room the tent sits in, allowing the tent to draw that air inside and exhaust it either outside or recirculate using the basement as the lung room.
 
The fact that this unit kills odor is just one benefit, a side benefit. The primary benefit is that it sterilizes every surface in your room leaving no residue. This means that stuff like PM or botrytis can't grow.
 
I must say that the AirROS demo unit is very impressive. I have a room thats about a week out from chop, Mimosa, very smelly crop. The smell is totally taken care of with the AirROS unit. Within a few hours of turning the unit off the smell returns and the terpenes are definitely still there lol. It is definitely an effective odor control. Of course thats just one of the benefits.
 
I am in love with my AirROS. I can see myself purchasing a few more so I can dedicate each to a room (veg, flower A & B), wouldn't want to run a grow without one honestly, it's basically crop insurance against mold and mildew as well as very effective odor elimination low wattage use to boot. Someone asked me if they mess up your terpenes. I can say that is not the case. After running the AirROS unit in a flowering room for 24 hours and moving it to another room the stench of weed returns in a couple hours. I suppose the real test would be running one in a drying room during a nice slow dry as there aren't any new terpenes being grown.

I intend to attempt a run with higher RH% through flower to maintain a good VPD situation. I suspect that if an AirROS is running in the room during the entire cycle you won't have any live botrytis spores inside your nugs to make for bud rot in later flower.

I can only imagine the extra yield that could be had if you can stay in the VPD Goldilocks zone. Plus it's cheaper to run my swamp cooler instead of my dehumidifiers lol and shutting down a carbon filter scrubber saves some power as well as reducing the noise.

To minimize the impact if things go south I will probably do this in my 2x4 flowering tent thats located in my veg room. If I treat the air in the veg room the tent will get exposure through it's ventilation (no carbon filter) and keeping my veg room humidity up high is something I do since there is no fear of bud rot in veg. So this time I won't drop the veg room RH% during the last half of the tent flowering when the buds are normally most prone to bud rot.

With co2 enrichment you actually want warmer temperatures and thus require higher humidity to maintain VPD. I generally back off the heat, co2, light intensity in later flower to prevent fluffy fox tailed flower. I wonder how running the higher RH% will effect this. Can you run hotter in late flower with the higher RH% and not get fluffy fox tailed flower?

This thing opens up some doors for sure. Commercial growers won't ever have to worry about passing tests for mold / mildew / bacterial.
 
I know I've seen 2 of these units in operation at a dental practice and a doctor's office for a couple years.
I'll ask how they are working out and what maintenance they have needed, it's been bugging me where I'd seen these before.

Maintenance items for the 4000 series:

Filter replacement every 6 months ish ($100)

Reaction chamber replacement every 12 months ish ($200)

PPB Sensor Replacement every 18 months ish ($550)

I say "ish" because the way it was explained to me those are the rather "worst case" replacement times, if for example you have a clean room then the filter may last 9 months...

Those are the maintenance costs for the 4000 series units as explained to me by their representative. He said that basically it's a new unit with those new parts, well except for the fan I suppose since it's a moving part however it appears that they use quality components and the filter keeps dust out of the fan.

I am curious how they like their units so please share with me your findings.

And do you know if it has any impact on insects? I guess not, but can always ask :)

If the device does what they say it does, then it is almost kind of a no brainer to get it.
Of course it is a lot of money, but the if have to pay $ 3000 and some additional costs each year to never have to fear toprot and PM again... easy choice.

They are attacking insects with UV-C, but that is nasty stuff.

As I understand you only have the AirRos on during lights out.
What is the reason for that?

First time reading this. No brainer. I actually used to use a heavy duty ozone generator on a timer, was a must growing in Tokyo before charcoal filters were a thing, so I can attest they work and they don't do the damage people think they do.

The smell is the least of my worries (but I am aware for some this device could help as well).
But I am very interested in a device that helps prevent Botrytis (toprot) and Mildew.
Costs a lot of money if you fall victim to it.

I move it from flowering room to flowering room (flip) and I use the carbon filters to blow air under the lights and above the canopy to remove heat but carbon filters will filter the ROS

Ah, but let's say one would not have a carbon filter in the room, then you could run it 24/7?

How many of these devices are you running at the moment?
Will you keep us posted about the results.
I am very interested in how they control viruses.
As I understand you even are gonna run a higher RH, because you trust the AirRos?

Running the AirROS in the room 24/7 would be preferable. I just need to bone up for another AirROS unit and replace the carbon filters with some wall fans.

I have been running a higher RH% with the AirROS, not probably as high as if I had one in there 24/7 though. These plants are really thick this round since I started training them earlier.

I'm looking at the 4005CS-P for a 4x4 tent. A bit of overkill but it's their smallest unit.

Anyone know the price? A youtube video stated that AirROS had units for $3,500 and Renfro's unit was $4,200.

I may loose half my harvest from my last crop if I can't wash it and save some, peace of mind is worth the price.
