I have and cookies is a PCK cross, Tight hashy purple nugs with a raw bread dough flavor vs durban not as dense tastes like terpenoline which carries over heavily in crosses. I've grown PCK, but not Durban. I do have a pack of Durban, but haven't gotten around to popping it yet. My PCK plants have been real piney, which I guess could translate into minty, but I haven't gotten doughy from the few PCK plants I've grown. Could be a difference in breeders, although PCK is supposed to be an IBL. There are a lot of possible crosses that could create the cookies terps.
Did you get the weed off a random dude on a street corner? Or did you get it from the actual Cookies store in California? Because most of the cookies on the street is fake, it's just random dudes putting random weed in fake cookies packs and selling it as the real deal. There's actually a shit load of fake soap packs going around my area right now and it's shit, I wouldn't bother with it.
I've only just thought about this... How can a female cultivar x male cultivar produce female seeds? I thought if you took a male and a female and sexed them they would produce regular seeds not female seeds?
I'm sure thier "male cultivar" was a reversed female. Thier packaging is just dumbed down to thier target consumer who likely doesn't know or care to give a chit. Or the package wouldn't look as pretty as saying female cultivar and reversed pollen donor?
I got it in Seattle at a recreational store. It was branded, dated and sealed. If it wasn't the legit stuff, then I don't know what else it would be. It was the highest priced bud in the store and everyone was raving. I had no reason to think it was going to be anything other than great. But, what a disappointment it was. It was as dry as a bone and turned into powder when broken up. Was it old? Nope. At the time, it was a fresh batch. Man, I'd hate to see an old batch.
People gotta convince themselves they didn't get ripped off.
