Cool Temps, How Much Damage?

I am growing outside in Ohio, and was wondering about a couple things. I started my plants in early April, germinated them in a paper towel, and have since transplanted them to pots and outside, though they did spend their first few weeks inside under a CFL. Anyways, on to my question. The weather recently has been on the cool side (about 60ish in the day and 45ish in the night) and I was wondering how much this will affect the growth? I am sure that it has had some effect, but wasnt really sure. Right now they are in my back yard, on their way to a guerilla grow site in the next couple days.

It is just some bagseed, so it is not a huge deal if it happens to do too much to the growth. I had germinated 2 plants, then decided I wanted more, so 2 of the 6 are bigger than the others. Also, I have noticed that there seems to be some bug issues because some of the lower leaves have holes, and issues with them.

I will try to get some pics up tomorrow, but don't know if I will be able to use a digital cam, or stuck with cell phone pics.

There are 2 pics of each of the 6 plants. First 4 pics (2 plants) are my older ones.

Oh, and they were just watered today if you think they look a little droopy.

how long did it take for you to get them that big? either i'm impatient or my plants are retarded... i'm growing about 40 outside and just 5 inside. the ones outside sprouted out of the ground about a week ago and they're only about two inches tall. the ones inside i germinated first and they sprouted out of the ground about 2 weeks ago, but the tallest one is still only just about 4 inches tall. can someone tell me if i'm going about this the right way or should my babies be bigger by now?
 
temps are fine 45 is not ideal for plants but it wont harm them those are very large for late may they can be monsters by august hopefully they are females good luck

I'm north of you and we're at the exact time and cfl start.. Here it's like 45 degrees F and raining........Mine are growing fine. Outdoor plants adapt.........
I do wish it was warmer, last year they were outside in April..They're just slow outside..

I would guess that they were started in dirt about 7 weeks ago. Sometime around the beginning of April. Can't remember the exact date. I started them under 6 13W CFLs. I am sure that they could have been stronger CFLs, but it got them started before I moved them outside. Now I just have to finalize my guerrila spot to grow them. Mine seemed to start slowly, but have been doing well now, though it seems there are many pics on here of peoples plants that seem a lot bushier/wider, whereas mine seem to be growing more upright.

Glad to hear that they are decent size, and I am hoping for maybe 3 or 4 females. Would be nice to get a few O's off of a few plants. I plan on using some of the knowledge/experience gained from this grow to do even better next year, and maybe and indoor winter crop. Right now I have basically been smoking about a quarter a week, so if I could get 5-10 OZ, I would consider it a successful harvest, and have enough bud til spring.

Yea, the weather seems to been brutal recently. Oh, and I think I saw u were near the Montreal area, sorry bout the Canadiens:roll:. Hopefully you will root for the Pens in the Finals :mrgreen:
 
I am also a little north of you. I planted my first batch over a month ago, and there doing fine. We even had a little frost but no damage done. I went out this morning and gave them a shot of nutes and most are about 3 feet tall. GO REDWINGS!!!

I'm still confused about how nutrients are added after planting in their final location. If the grow is outdoors, how do you do this? Just curious. <Huge noob.
 
I just don't understand you guys! Why would anybody risk the possibility of losing their home by growing on their own property? To me the risk far and away out weighs the reward. I've been growing guerilla ops well over 30 years in Hawaii. I think you all are making a mistake growing on your own property. AS I looked at your pics dude. The first thing I saw was your plants, the second thing I focused on was the two story house right next to you! Fuck dude, your neighbor could be watching, and become curious as to why you are taking pics of your plants. I don't know, I just think you folks are taking a big gamble. Hell, I don't even have starters on my property, nothing that could tie me into a grow op whatsoever.

Listen nobody in their right mind ever said that growing was easy. It's a lot of blood, sweat & tears. But the reward is well worth the extra leg work.

I guess the reason that I am not too worried about starting them by my house before moving them is that my neighbor grew 3 or 4 plants about 5ft tall right next to my house for 2 years before my mom ratted on him because she could see them from out bathroom window, so I don't think that many people around here notice. She also doesn't go out to our back yard, so I am not worried about her seeing mine before I move them. I dont think that the house across the street that you saw in one of the pics would be able to see them while they are sitting on the ground, but I guess it is possible. That said, this weekend is when they are getting moved out to a guerilla location

congrat's! they're hardened, and ready to handle anything short of hail. now, do pinching and twisting(gently at first) to build up the stems...you'll have muscle-bitches capable of holding up 25 lb. buds in a force 5 hurricane!

Life is full of risk ... and it depends on how your property is set up in order to determine whether or not you can grow on it ... now where I grow on my property no one goes back there ... and if they did they would be trespassing ... plus I walk around my property everyday ... part of my daily constitutional ... so I get to see them everyday ... it not unusual at all for me to be in the area ... not that people won't trespass ... but I've never seen anyone ... plus I believe in Angels and that they will protect my ladies from humans and animals ... with that in mind I'm more than willing to take the risk.bongsmilie:neutral::peace:
 
my temps have been 70 during the day and 40 at night. they seem fine. as long as there isnt any frost or ice.

i cant imagine that they love the weather too much though.
