Well I checked up on the Honey Hole a little while ago. I did some tie down to even up the auxin distribution on a few of the Ladies. The first pic is a close up of tie down rig using wire pushed in the ground and fishing line for the tie off.

Wished I had gotten a nice vegetable garden out as well but I do some great looking tomato and pepper plants...with a volunteer zucchini in the midst of the pepper plants.

Judging by the weeds and your lawn makeup, I'd say we ain't too awful far apart bro. If you are where I think you are -- Midwest --, that rain you got last night petered out around daylight in my neck of the woods.

Here is one that I have not yet posted any pix of. She is a close runner up to The Queen Bee and could possibly overtake her by harvest. I went ahead and named her Mom. She dwells in The R&R Patch not far from The Queen Bee.

Keeping with the title of the thread I went fishing again for supper. Trying to see how long it takes to burn myself out on fresh caught fish and homemade chips.
This is just a few yards from my back door into the wilderness heading to the creek bottom.

Across the soybean field in the bottom....

The fishing honey hole

It took a while to find out what they were going to respond to....had to earn these fish tonight....purple worm rigged up Texas style was the ticket.

Now I'm gonna take my happy ass outside and clean those fish, break out the mandolene and slice up some potatoes(hopefully not a finger), and cook supper outside on my saw ponies Country Boy Style

Now that's a good dinner.
I haven't done much fishing myself this year. One trip I scored and kept 3 rainbow trout. All of which got in me belly shortly after.
