If you read through some older threads, it's very easy to confuse this place with Stormfront, unfortunately.
As with the poisoned and failed Republican Party, the 'old guard' oftentimes requires removal if there is to be any sort of hope for a progressive future.

Once their jobs don't come back, and they find out corporations and millionaires/ billionaires are getting Even better tax breaks than before, maybe their minds will change?

My sister and brother in law- he's the one working for the State Department- both voted for Chump. In spite of the incredible damage done to the department by his administration's lunacy, they would still vote for him again.
I really have no idea how otherwise intelligent people can be that stupid.

It’s no wonder then that Democrats’ emphasis on downwardly redistributive economic policies has been met with suspicion, even from those who would be on the receiving end of such redistribution. And likewise, it’s no wonder that Trump’s promises — to re-create millions of (technologically displaced) jobs and to punish all those non-self-sufficient moochers — seem much more enticing.
