oh and one more post:
i know that cubes regardless of strain are relatively all similar (minus south americans being larger) but i did a google search on my strain, came from the the ankor wat temple in cambodia. sooo cool, might have to be my next travel destination!

Btw, Ankor Wat's Architecture looks very appealing... a must see view while in an induced mushroom state! I can just envision it now, snakes roaming the sand based crevices and the God Vishnu rising above.... all I need know is some Shpongle music :)

SHPONGLE IS THE SHIT!!! dude ive seen them live, crazzzy experience. i have their dvd, def throwing that on when i get my first flush.

recipe #1 with dog food was tempting since i have a dog but i dont think i want to be smelling it over my stove...

Aborts are VERRY potent!! I know from experience, I had a bag full after about 10 diff grows and I ate 1.5g and they blew my mind!! But I have to say, PE is the STRONGEST mushroom I have ever grown and tried!!!! Not for the amatures!

Since those techniques are/seem pretty experimental, I would only try it out on a few jars just in case! ;) You dont want to lose the whole crop.

Having 'new' substrate (Sugars/dog food) raises the possibilities of contamination greatly since the molds/spores/bacteria floating around in the air have something to feed off of and start spreading if any leaks out or is left on the cakes.

ya im prob going to do just a few and have a control group to compare.

good news is that RR (mushroom legend) at shroomery said if i pull this off i win a microscope hes been trying to give away for the last decade for the first person to accomplish flushes after the cake has been spent o_O

Have about 4 grams of aborts waiting for me! Thinking of doing the infamous Lemon Tek ;)

I heard you can bury spent cakes then water the ground and sometimes pull more flushes right from the ground any one done this?
i think it was RR or roadkill who said this but not sure.

Yes, very much like a double insulated casing... but its best to just leave cakes as cakes... if you nurture them right, they'll keep on pumping out mushrooms. Mines on the 6th flush and still pumping, oh how glad I am :)

wow six flushes man thats nuts ive only gotten three but I think it could have givin more but tric mold took over.

Cakes when fully colonized with healthy mycelium are very resistant to certain molds... if the temperature, water climate, and cleanliness of your grow spot remain constant... then mushrooms should keep popping up until the cake is totally harden and left deplete of nutritional value!

cakes have been in fc for 2 days now. i can see growth already, will post in the next few days with some pictures.
