Super cropping is quite the taboo subject these days LoL
My advice is to try it out on one branch and give it two weeks to see what it does.
Two methods that work for me;
The pinch - anywhere between nodes on bare stem. Pinch it hard so it dents the stem - do NOT break or tear the stem!
The twist - finger and thumbs, 1 inch gap between hands. Twist completely around until you hear or feel the snap! make sure you're listening keenly as you may miss it. You may need to twist it round fully at 360 degrees before you hear/feel the snap but it's okay. Either twist it back around to its original position or leave it where it snapped. just as long as it's supported well it WILL grow back
And grow back stronger it will!
I tend to play with a strain first, to find out just how far I can stress it before it starts hating me.
I find that any amount of stress can be okay, just as long as lots of time is given for healing and after care (at least a week of lighter than normal nutes) rather than throwing it straight into flower - doing so will probably make her herm up.
That's why I say, sacrifice one branch to test things out on
I last week pinched a few of my flowering FP branches - something I NEVER do - and this week those same branches are filling out bigger than the others LoL hahaha
See how different strains do different things
Thanks for sticking around rdub - I can't wait till harvest either!
