Have you though about DWC at all cumber? All you need is a bucket, pump, and water! Have also seen people use tupperware bins, but I think a bucket is much easier to move around.
That's actually what I'm considering J. I have a twin air pump and an air stone hoping to use the second line to push the water up through my medium.
Just gots to find a good container. Mop bucket? lololol
If it works ok, I could use it full term without transplanting again :)

omg I must be so flippin stoned!
When I put the new 250w CFL in the veg box, I also changed my schedule from 24/0 to 18/6.
I've always run my veg at 24/0 - does anyone think this could in any way added to the death of my cheese? I've never heard of such a thing myself, but it just struck me as coincidence and something I'd over looked...

I don't think it could have caused the death...but on another note, I've been reading several things that say you get less growth with 24/0 and that it's not optimal for plants. Someone did a side by side grow on here and found that 18/6 plants were bigger / bigger buds than 24/0 plants.

No don't think so but I also feel plant's need a dark period to take care of any repair's that it may need and that plant's do different chemical reactions durring the dark time....I ran two grow's simo one 24/0 one 18/6 for my style of grow the 18/6 plant's were more vibrant and did considerably better when it came to yield and the root mass was also larger!! nature doesn't do this so it's certainly not nornal plant growth!! I yield enough and don't "push" my plant's but that's just my style.... my plant's were aproximately same size and same structure except for the root's!! jack

Nah mate, it was the exodus cheese I had in veg...
Cheesecake seems okay. no real further growth up top but the roots are still working hard

Since yesterday, I've put my aero pot on a timer instead of being on full time - it's now 15m on 30m off :) If anyone can tell me better, please do!

i will be readying the ground over the next week or two anyway... but then i gotta run electric the full length of the garden and have a consumer unit fitted :-S ..... so lots to do yet, and thats before i start building the cab..... i would like to think i could do it in four weeks

Four weeks! Blimey! Good luck tho :)

I'm still working out my propogator don't quite understand it fully yet. But I'm sure I'll have it working good before time ;)
My seedlings are getting to a certain height and then stopping. Roots seem to be growing slowly but not fast enough for my liking... I just think I'm missing something, like nutes...

I'm under the impression that they will still grow okay with only water?? Anyone??

Somebody did tell me that they NEED nutes once they get to a certain size, which of course would explain why they are stunting. But surely they can survive with water... it's their bread and butter ??

ermmm i'm not sure about that mate... i think that perhaps your right.... the seed only contains enough to spread those first round leaves so i would start looking into how others use those propergators.... there must be feeds for them
i would like to think i could have something going in 4 weeks
i only have to build two brick walls, shutter and pour a 12'x 8' shed base, spur and run 30 meters of cable and fit a trip.... build the shed with false wall and assemble the cabinet and insulate the whole thing... in evening and weekends :-) .... yeah maybe its a tough gig ... but its funny how hard we can work when it suits us

well the other-half and i went to egypt in january.... and both got perfum made for us in oil form .... anyway mixed up with massage oil it makes for a really relaxing evening ;-) .... anyway cut a long story short a few months had passed and i used (by mistake) the same tub to germ my seeds and after they cracked the left over fumes killed them dead :-(

I've only just really taken this in...
Fuck, that's a proper shed you're talking about! lol
Yeah mate that's bad ass! I have two grower mates that have built their own sheds and they kick the ass out of my little set up lol
Looking forward to this one now hehe ;)

Okays, I took some pics on Sat and got too stoned to post them... (no excuses here)
and after looking at my ladies tonight they've kinda grown loads, so the pics are kinda invalid now lol and really don't do them any justice. I'll take some more...

Flower cab is functioning spot on. Nominal temps, humidity and still good air movement.
BZ buds have started the fattening of the fingers (the finger buds sticking out of the colas) and am excited to see it now entering it's final 2/3 weeks!
FP has finally started thickening out. I was worried for a while about stunting but she seems to be moving forward now. Her buds are no where near as large as BZ or Cheese, but there are a shit lot of them! and they smell very inviting. Juice is still stickying me proppa just brushing my hand past or pulling a branch :) The bushiness of FP is quite unreal now too, when I consider how scrawny and small she was when I put her in.
Cheese also is thickening up nicely and entering its final weeks.

Veg cab is slightly too hot at 32C. I think the venting needs looking at sharpish to make this right.
Caremelo appears to have taken well to potting up and has new 2" long healthy shoots - I gave this one a new feed combination a few days ago and it seems also to have responded well to this.
I want her to go straight in when BZ comes out, so I've got to get her potted up again soon into her final pot - I really can't be arsed with that lol but she really does want it now.
Sad, cos my ex-cheese was more than big enough to go in before it died and Caramelo isn't quite big enough :( But needs must...

In the propogator, things are still slowly slowly. I've started adding some root stimulant and a little grow food. I have noticed a little difference in the two days since, but as for that growth being considered a direct result of nutrient insertion, I can't say for sure. Makes sense though.

Fingers crossed for the Strawberry Cheese... She's not looking healthy up top :(
It was always gonna be a gamble purchasing just one seed... But it is a strain I want to try so I'll just re-buy another if she dies.

I was told today that putting seedlings directly into clay pebbles is not good as it's too harsh an environment for the tap roots to establish themselves.
Too late now, They're already in pebbles... So I'm now also hoping that they'll survive the pebbles lol
I think I'll give this aero propogator another week or two before I need to consider my options with the seedlings inside it. It is apparently great for cuts but not so with seeds - according to matey in the hydro shop anyway. We'll see.

Ooooh I can't wait for the pics!

So cheese has very large buds? I have a freebie Cheese reg and auto from Dinafem that I've been thinking about trying out.

I found out the hard way about putting a seedling directly into clay pebbles too :(.

I hope everything works out with your Strawberry! What exactly is wrong with her?
