Curing a slightly different way...

When experienced and somewhat novice smokers and growers think of curing, they think of Kerr or Mason jars for their stash and finished plants right? Well upon reading a few online sources of curing and drying, everyone has used a glass jar of some sort. I haven't heard of anything else being used. What if we could use something that is glass and allows for better surface coverage and doesn't call for 'packing your buds loosely' (such a term I hear so often)? Suppose two Pyrex or glass pans, one could be inverted as a lid and allows for buds to be spread freely. So you don't have to shake up a jar and burping is a breeze. Anyone try this? I would naturally want to presume that someone has tried this in efforts to keep their bud aesthetically intact. I've seen buds where there was hardly any curl if any on the colas so they were just immaculate from plant to jar. Bring your ideas, I know glass on glass is a bit of a slippery deal but maybe you had an idea to fix that. Thanks for replies ahead of time!

Glass is best for storage, even an old cookie jar

is better than some plastic crap,

why risk catching plastic oder's to your stash?

tin and metal are not as bad as some plastics

and pottery or terracotta can shake trics loose

stick with jars even stick a temp/Rh gauge in the lid

is getting popular with riu members

I like this selection of do's and don'ts. I wish I could fill a huge cookie jar with beautiful buds to cure. Not much to make me happier than curing your own bud after all that work. As much as anyone wants to smoke their fresh harvest, it's the 2 month cure that is so worth doing.

@vostok Are those tops sold separately or with the jars? That's a sweet setup.

I've actually lost the members details.. (Facepalm!!!) ....but I Pm'ed him 3 weeks ago or so and he replied

he bought the jars and the meters from Ebay for a couple of bucks,

cut the lids and inserted the meters himself, so I did the same, and took 5 minutes ...eazy-peezy!

as I do the water cure, once dried, these jars will assist in monitoring the RH of each cola bunch

My future bitch will be of the tiny watch batteries, they are very hard to find where I'm at,

so like everyone else I'll perhaps rig up some double ' a's' instead but first these are under trial, note the lighter for scale

jar holds two and a half liters or about 3 pints

You do very nicely for an area that I perceive to be snowy as hell all the time but that's not true. I should look for these hygrometers.
