For heat sinks in the low power boards, I saw a poster on another board using aluminum yardsticks that he bought at a dollar store. I can’t find the post but he said they work pretty well for extracting heat with the added bonus of structural rigidity. Might be worth looking into. I did a quick google search and found some for under $4 online.

I used 48" long aluminum rulers from Harbor Freight as heat sinks, on L09 strips. Theyve been working great so far :mrgreen:

Yuuup I’m late to the punch on this one lol. Thanks for the tag @cobshopgrow.

@andreav-
I just built an all purpose light using 15 bridgelux eb2 280mm strips. 3500k since I’m vegging and flowering with them. I can’t say that I have any experience vegging with leds in a 5000k spectrum though.

my space dimensions are 40”x18” so I went for a HLG-150-20B to give me 30w per sq ft. I wired them up in 5 banks, three strips per bank. I’ve used 1/4” flat stock on all my strip builds and feel it works just fine. I understand the principals of a nice finned heat sink and u channel stock is much more efficient but my metal place sells flat stock for cheap so I went with that. I would recommend going with 1” width though if you do. I went 1.5” and she’s a hefty one. 1/8” angle stock at 1” width was used for framing. Also a 100k ohm 0.5w linear potentiometer for dimming.
