Cutting Fan Leaves ..Not the Stems but the Leaves Themselves

I didn't know wtf dead-heading was, so I looked it up. I think you are confused man.
Dead heading has multiple definitions. The general horticulture usage is the removal of dead flowers to promote additional blooms. Also removing dead foliage. And cutting shrubs and bushes to the ground to restart them. Not accurate in this forum. But understandable.
 
Man dead-heading is just the equivalent to pruning, simple as that. It can mean multiple things but in this context it just means snipping off unhealthy or dying leaves to prevent further issues.
Well deadheading, according to all the info, is removing the dead flowers. I don't want dead buds.
