A 400w Hortilux EYE enhanced spectrum.what kind of bulb did you pick up dc?
Yep, and this time I also have 8 ounces left to chief on until the newbies are done. Ahhhh, I've got my work cut out for me! ^^i'm glad you got your new bulb, it's nice when something makes you feel better going into a grow, or bloom!
hehehe yeah you gotta love the Brak show. Hucking filarious.good call on the hortilux. I'm thinking about getting one of their blue spectrum hps bulbs for my next bulb. it still has the red spectrum but also has a higher blue in it too so that'd help with stretching and still shower them with both specs
edit** love your avatar dc. [adult swim] doesnt play enough brak show. lol and zorak's the funniest motherfucker on that show. makes me laugh just thinking about the shit he says
Mine actually sits just outside the right side and the intake to the tent and light are ducted to it directly when I need it. I feel dumb that my setup is finally summerproof right as the heat finally ends. I asked about the AC at the end because it's supposed to frost them up more and turn em purple if you do.Well Grop I have the portable a/c unit just pushed up to the back of the tent. I unzipped the lower half of the tent 'backflap' or door or whatever the hell that's supposed to be used for and parked the a/c unit right there flush with the back, blowing in. I had to set it up on a milkcrate to get the diffuser panel on the a/c high enough to not blow directly on the plants. It still hits em a little but not bad enough to cause any harm. Last run I had like 3 leaves that got windburned. I just point the a/c's air right at the cooltube so it blows up directly at the light. BTW my unit looks almost exactly like your's only maybe a newer model or something. You park yours in the right side of that closet, right? What do you do with your exhaust? I have all of mine going out the ceiling into the attic space of my apartment building. I live on the top floor.
As far as the a/c blowing hard at the end...I'm a little confused...but I just let mine run all the time 24/7. Basically it's the intake fan. The compressor only comes on when it needs to, and it keeps the air circulating in the tent for the plants even in the dark period. When the lights come on and things heat up, that's when the a/c'll kick on every once in a while. It's pretty active during the summer months, but it rarely even kicks on during the winter months.
I buy distilled water where ever I can find it cheap, usually Wally World for like $0.68 a gallon when I have the time to deal with Wal Mart. Otherwise I just buy it from the grocery store. My friend spent $200.00 on an R/O machine and it was the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. He now buys distilled again too!
And thanks for the comments/support!
Thanks Drella, I was starting to think it was me or something! Oh well guess I'll just bend over and take it as usual for now. I might start working on an account on ICMag.com/forums though, just in case things get gay again and also to have a backup so if this site crashes and burns I still have an active account somewhere. I'll keep everyone posted.wow dude, where you go, ill find you! yeah man, at least let us know what's going on. you're not an asshole, just wondering what's going on!
Yeah i gotta My-grow account, not many on the site, but everyones way cool. defn gonna check out that ICMag though as well, good luck to you. things seem to be normal here, for now. Thanks Drella, I was starting to think it was me or something! Cool I got it now. I like how you have the a/c and the light vented out the same hole with a dryer vent cover on the outside. That's good. If you replace that tee with a wye it would lower the resistance on the fan and probably quiet it down a bit. I use 6" straight-pipe ducting and 90 degree adjustable elbows whenever possible to make for less resistance and less noisy airflow. The more direct (straight) the path of airflow is the better off you are. Less bends and crimps in the line makes air move easier and more efficiently....and my exhaust goes through a hole in the closet to my porch outside. two inline fans share the hole with a dryer vent. That coupled with all the twists and turns slows down the fans a bit, but it's cold here now. During flower I'll have the tent closed most of the time, with sealed intakes from the AC and everything exhausted outside directly. I can't see any other ways to make what I have work more effeciently, so now lets see what kinda pot I can make.
Yeah just be careful what you put on here cause you can delete your pics on your profile but you can never delete your posts, they're here for life. Their excuse is that if all your posts disappeared it would throw the continuity of the thread off big time. While that's true, if your name and image were replaced by some generic avatar and a name like 'Guest' or something like most other sites do it would not throw anything off and the continuity of the thread would be preserved.I had no idea you couldn't delete your account here, that's BS. Why would they set it that way?! I'm gonna write to them today. Everyone should. This is a MMJ site, where paranoia is rampant - they must be stupid.
