Hey can you guys help me out? This is my first grow, ever and Im having some root issues. all my friends who grow do so with soil and Im doing dwc. Your root porn looks amazing, I wish I could get my roots looking like that. Heres the link to my grow journal I started. Ive put up tons of pics.

im thinking thats where shes gunna finish around.

she shows about 15 MAYB 20% amber as of now, so hopefully 2 weeks. ill start the flush next week tho.

Here is my first dwc grow< the only other grow ive done is with soil and i failed. Hopefully this does good, its already going much faster! these buckets are 18 gal I know thats way big but they are the most heavy duty i could find however the way i had to cut the holes and because i put the rockwool too high up in the basket i had to use foil to keep light out and off the roots. hopefully it will be ok. Another problem im haveing is keeping my water consistantly cool its been 71-76 and kinda starting to get slimy and smelly, i was thinking about getting a small fridge and running an extra feeding tube to it with a copper coil and then back to the tank and just let it circulate what do you guys think?

Hye fuzzy thanks for checkin me out, i do have a question though if you dont mind.2 of my plants are showing stress, it looks like the start of nute burn on just a couple leaves, but 1 is kinda bad, do you think it makes sense for only certain plants to get burnt? they arent the runts either...

I wouldnt be giving them any nutes yet they are just seedlings still.

As for the foil that will cause you plants to burn, i would not use foil, use heat resistant tape, it is like foil but not, it is manly used for ducting work. can get it at lowes or homedepo.

Don't post many pics but I feel the need to show off too....

I've got six plants in 5 gal buckets, under 2000w HPS.

That cola is from a mother I let flower, she was in soil...was only around 8 weeks in but I got sick of waiting....

Try the DWC sub section. They all be used to brown root masses with no hair roots over there.

Whats the solution for brown root masses with no hairs??!

well the nutes u use could be dark color and turn roots brownish, like i use honey hydro witch is a DARK brown.

but i donr know HOW i missed the foil, that could be ur issue right there!
