Sometimes they'll stretch and fall over when they don't have enough light. I make a little crutch out of wire and that usually works.Man maybe not damping off then. Do seedlings fall over though when they are thirsty or perspiring too much? I thought they just dry up
They already were stood up they fell over after. When it first happened ti me I had a dome over them and it happened.Pic 1 looks a lot like a seedling trying to stand up for the first time.
For the best chance at success increase temps to 78 and increase humidity as high as 70% for a bit.
The first few waterings are critical to not overdo.
You are correct in your diagnosis. I recently had to go through the same thing. I'd change everything, if it's been in your area and could have been exposed to spores toss it and what you can't toss clean the hell out of it. clean everything. Once you've got new soil try planting some new seeds and try again.I’m having a complete nightmare recently ALL of my seedlings are falling over and dying ! I’ve tried camomile tea I’ve tried cinnamon over the soil, I’ve bleached the area and pots. Im losing my mind with this shit ! Im using :
A cheap blurple light around 7000 lux
Plant magic soil
RH 40%
temp around 75
Small oscillation fan in the cupboard
I’m germinating with paper towel Method
I’ve never had any issues before with this can anyone help I’ve wasted so many seeds
You think it’s damping off?
Maybe I will switch to cocoYou are correct in your diagnosis. I recently had to go through the same thing. Good luck, in my most recent battle I kept trying and trying and tweaking things and trying but at a certain point it would just come back and kill my seedlings.
I'd also suggest a soil with good drainage, moisture retention can be a breeding ground for fungus. I switched to coco myself and I had 0 problems right off the bat.
Oh damn, I thought the OP posted this and it was what I was going off of. My bad.View attachment 5127913
this is damping off it looks nothing like that
It’s like 7000 lux though bro and they aren’t stretching?Sometimes they'll stretch and fall over when they don't have enough light. I make a little crutch out of wire and that usually works.
Stop using a dome for seedlings. They already were stood up they fell over after. When it first happened ti me I had a dome over them and it happened.
i certainly haven’t been overdoing the watering as I keep thinking it’s damping off!
Can you post close up pic of the steam near soil line? Could help the debate.
I did stop..Stop using a dome for seedlings.
They were dry I’ve literally just watered them I didn’t saturate it. And the temp is down because the door is open it’s usually around 25/26It looks overwatered and cold to me.
I think this is the problem. They don't need water everyday.I been watering daily
