Day 54 of flower

To start this is my first grow.

Background:
posted on here earlier in Veg about wanting to increase my yields and was immediately chirped for using LEDs so I switched to 600 HPS for flower lol.... With that, I immediatly ran into temp issues in my 32”x32” tent.. I turned my ballast down to 400W and raised it to 24” above my plants after week 3 which now has my temp at 75-80F with the lights on and about 55-60F lights off.. Both plants are in a 3 gallon smart pots which is what I believe to be part of the problem ( 12 week Veg - plant on the right is much smaller so thinking the roots still have room to grow where the yellowing plant may be running out of room).. anyways I’ve supplemented Mag in the last few watering and still notice daily leaves curling, yellowing, and dieing off MAINLY on the top layer of leaves.

I’m asking for thoughts and advice for future grows as well as finishing my last few weeks of flower. Strain is Acupolco Gold with estimated 70-75 days of flower.. I’m going to start flushing on day 60 and am guessing guessing the leaves are yellowing from heat stress, to small of a smart pot, nitrogen / mag deficiency?

I’m attaching pictures of both my plants... one is healthy as can be while the other one has been dealing with yellowing fan leafs since week 3 of flower.. I’ve been pruning 5-10 leaves every water. “
Lastly would anyone change the larger plant to a 5 gallon bucket for the last few weeks? I’m guessing no because to much stress? Let me know - any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

When you dim the bulb it changes the spectrum so it us no longer ideal. Run it on full and fix the heat issues. I know it can be a bitch. I got a 600 in. 2x4x7 and i need to keep my ambient air temp in my place around 72 or the tent runs hot. Growing in the fall and spring is much easier than mid summer for sure.

The taller plant is closer to the light and seems to be not liking the extra heat.

If you can't keep the temps low feed a lot less. The higher the temp the faster the plants will transpire. The more nutes they pull. So if the temps are up keep the ec low.

1st you flush yer toilet not yer weed

What nutes are u feeding them, looking pretty ruff
Medium?
Water pH?

I’m using fox farm ocean forest soil and using fox farm Big bloom, Tiger bloom, every other watering. Then on the non nutrient watering I use a Teaspoon of coconut powder and black molasses. I don’t have a PH reader as it’s my first grow but definitely will buy one for my next.. I didn’t think it was a PH problem though as the other plant is healthy as can be and don’t change anything between the two

Thanks!

I live in upper New England and put the light to 600W tonight with my window cracked... we’ll see what happens! Haha.

The leaves are definitely yellow but the buds look healthy. Next grow I’m going to get a larger tent and better exhaust, just don’t want to spend anymore money with only3 weeks left. Any other advice feel free to send my way!
