Yeah, i feel ya, my moms get out of control sometimes too. Trying to digure out what to do with my 4ft Piss mom right now. But with all the new strains I have on the way, her fate looks grim.
 
im excited to see what those mothers produce, like you said, whatever they produce is bonus.

im using a 2ft 4-bulb t5 fixture as side lighting, do you think it'll be worth it?

Mmmmmmm, depends on how you have it positioned. If it's on the side but up kinda high on the plant and close to them maybe. I think I'm just going to keep trying to perfect my method of trimming off everything but the tops and then just focusing all my light on the top of an even canopy. Side lighting prob does work, but it's only really there to help the lower popcorn nugs, which I just don't want anymore if at all possible! I'm trying to push all the growth to the top colas instead, so for me side lighting does nothing really.
 
yeah, screw the popcorn nugs! i threw the side lighting in the bloom closet because it was an extra light, so we'll see if she does anything!

So I took like 11 cuts from the Hashberry plant I think it was and 8 from the Super Skunk mom, put them in the tray with the dome on and set them aside to marinate. I gave my boy some big branches off of the HB mom to make clones from, and then I cleaned out all the sucker growth left on em and lollipopped em and threw their raggedy old asses in the flower tent. lol The HB plant looks like shit but we'll see what she does. Even if they barely produce I didn't want to just throw them away. The SS prob will produce a decent amount, but since they're so tall they aren't getting a lot of light because they're up higher than the light's footprint almost. Like I say, these are just a bonus so whatever they do is fine.

Hehehe we'll see! I think the SS is going to yield well, but the HB is looking pretty damn rough. I think cutting like 80% of the plant off in one day leaving basically a glorified stem might have been a bit more than she could take. lol

You're right you know. I just don't want to get my hopes up on it, cause it is looking pretty snarly. But if all works out yeah hopefully it'll produce something worthwhile.

Interesting that you mention the re-vegging...although I've never done it before, the HB plant is almost looking like a re-vegged female. The leaves are kinda funky like that.

Haha hopefully so man! I guarantee it WILL be about as disgusting. It's got that 70's bushed-out porn vibe for sure. Just nasty, yet somehow, you can't bring yourself to throw it out. lol
 
i took the three of four plants that were just harvested and left a couple bottom nugs on and through them outside....just gonna see what happens.

I have read it is better to let them recover in a controlled invironment for max success, but if it is mild out it should work!

After I saw a buddy of mines(fucking incredible) I am planning to reveg all my best plants for mothers, instead of taking and rooting clones flowering them all then picking one. I can only flower 6 at a time:(

They're doing fabulous actually, thanks for asking! I just haven't had time to get on here and post the pics I've been taking. I was sick all day yesterday and didn't do anything. Just have to post em here. I'll get on it!
 
OK here's a bunch of random pics I took 3 days ago on the 27th. I'm not even going to narrate this time, if you have Q's please ask, but I think they're pretty self-explanatory if you've been following along thus far.

So far I'm liking my new method. :-P

Oh and in a couple you can see the AK47 that I threw in probably much too early (but who cares?), and the last 3 pics are top-down on a HB, an average SS side shot, and top-down on the average SS (when I say 'average' I mean very respective of the rest).
