No person is perfect. We all have our own character flaws, and it takes a sociopath to deny that. Ron Paul is no Messiah. He is just a smart guy with good intentions and a clear record of honesty.

Right on. It's just the way people talk about this man is very unsetteling. They talked that way about Hitler too and that backfired big time, and no I am not calling RP Hitler, just stating a fact that forces me to examine much more closley this man.

Too bad I can't shut down this thread. I'm not even a Ron Paul cultist and I can see this thread for what it is. This thread is nothing but hate. Funny thing is Ron Paul would get rid of the federal ban on gay marriage. Obama hates gays. But Paul wants to let them marry, then execute them....

He struggles with gay marriage! He doesn't struggle with shit. His response should be it's none of his business what a gay or straight couple does like Ron Paul has said several times. I get Obama's speech told to me as a vegan. I just walk away from them. If a man likes another man's meat, he should be allowed it and I should be allowed my veggies without smirks too.

he has stated that his views are "evolving". being publicly in favor of gay marriage in 2008 would have meant unelectable, or at least a much tougher path to 270.

i believe that his stated position does not match his personal views. i could be wrong, but i feel this is reasonable based on his actions as president.

there are some things you just can't say if you want to be elected.

also, we can talk about hr 7955, in which he makes sure no federal funding is given to any institution which may suggest that being gay is acceptable lifestyle. he made no such provisions to block federal funding to any institution that suggests that a man and a woman getting married is acceptable. so he clearly has a record of discriminating against gays (not to mention his newsletter fiasco, which also proves how shitty ron paul is at running a campaign).

What about all the other descent famous people that agree with Ron Paul, How does that add up in comparison with crazy people that support Ron Paul, It seems like everyone agrees with Ron Paul to me, I have yet to hear any real valid reason with the exception of disagreeing with capitalism entirely. There is a lot of straw men, yellow journalism, and conspiracy theories but nothing really that legitimate in my opinion. As far as supporting one of the other candidates over him.

A one time statement is not touting, its a one time statement. Obviously you did not read the definition, it is neither pestering, bold or aggressive.

Lets take a look at the endorsement shall we? Find the part where he likes Ron Paul because of Gay hating and wanting to put them to death.

If i had no choice in the matter of who a given group that i despise endorses and they chose to endorse me then i would cordially acknoledge the endorsement and move on. As the campaign did. To deny it or not acknowledge it would THEN be reason for scandal imo.
