Decomposed granite vs granite dust - Coots Mix - In SIPs

I am trying to buy basalt or granite rock dust locally but can't find it (near Sacramento, CA), sounds like it should be easy to find but I'm striking out. I can find decomposed granite very easily, at the same place as the lava rock for cheap but I am not sure if it will work the same as rock dust.
If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Huh I know a lot about SIPs but I have never heard of decomposed granite. I can't imagine that it would be bad if it has minerals that have been broken down. Seems like a great addition to an organic SIP to me!

Gai green has a rock dust and basalt from the PNW. Concentrates sells them at 50# bags for cheap, shipping is expensive however. Build a soil also haves gai basalt and rock dust at smaller amounts.

Thanks for all the help today. I was able to find Cascade Minerals at Green Fire.

I ended up picking up 20lbs and it looks like I'm short 10lbs to hit 36 cups for 12 cubic feet of soil.

Again, thanks for all the help and at blistering speed.
