"Bad genetics" in this case means any human that would threaten to, or use, unlawful deadly force against their fellow citizen.

Doesn't matter if they're white, black, yellow, brown, or green with polka dots.
 
The police chief is right when he said the police can't protect people, that is true nation wide. I do not agree with concieled weapons permits, a person should have those rights without needing the governments blessing. I do think we need to enforce background checks better than what is currently done.

Crime will not be solved with concealed carry, harsher punishment, or special task forces. Crime is not based on race or political ideology, it is environment driven. Always has been, and probably always will be.

As long as criminals can get guns illegally, background checks are not going to make a significant difference. When was the last time a background check prevented a shooting? The ones I remember in recent history all had people who passed a background check or who took the weapons from a family member.

Crime will never be solved, it is a human condition. And you are totally right about police not protecting people. The police are there to respond to crimes and attempt to punish the criminals which is usually after the fact. That is why it is so important for people to have the right to self defense.

You don't have to look very hard to see cases where background checks could of stopped the sale of a gun to individuals who were mentally unstable. If they where slightly more stringent.

I know that the vast majority of gun owners are responsible, and I'm not for some silly gun laws such as assault weapon bans. I am all for a person having the right to defend themselves, because only you can protect yourself in the end. Relying on others is naive at best.

I'd be ok with a no gun list similar to our no fly list. Asking gun retailers to do more stringent checks is asking them to perform medicine. They are simply not qualified.

It would be up for debate what lands you on the no gun list though. I'd submit felons who have used guns during the crimes and people who have a history of gun violence. This won't prevent much, but the future crime police scare me.

It is a tough one, frankly I would like to see gun safety taught in schools. But in this era I don't see that happening. Up until just recently my grand kids where able to have guns on school property. They had to remain in their vehicle, out of sight, with doors locked. A concerned mother made such a huge deal out of it finally got the school to cave. Not a single case of any problems there, ever.

In the end anyone who wants to kill, will. I'm no fan of the future police, I would quite frankly take my chances with criminals over some government program. But fear not, it will be for our safety.

Preaching to the choir. I grew up with guns and was taught a healthy dose of respect and safety. I guess I just don't understand where we are. Kids have been suspended from school for hello kitty bubble guns and pointing while saying bang. The lunatics are running the asylum.
