Very nice man. Looking good. It is kinda crazy to see such a young plant budding like that. I wonder if it will ever develop leaves with more than 3 leaflets.

I doubt it, its not growing any new nodes, and the secondaries are one pointers.
Also I might add....
I just recieved 35 mexican landrace seeds.
It came with a free ounce of bud too!
Check this out...
(Both people always have the same bud)
I mixed my awesome minty sativa seeds (from person B) with some seeds that I got from person A...
The seeds I just got now are from person A.
Now I have a pretty good chance of separating the two types so I can try to make sure I grow both next time around.
I am planning on revegging any plants I really liked as mothers.
Plus it is a stable strain, ready for breeding.
I have been reading and I see that DJ short has some of these mexican genetics in his strains, it just has a really herbal smell, almost like tobacco.... I can get a blueberry clone to cross it with, and I will cross it with GH great white shark and GH el nino.

Yea, I don't very many people down here really think about using schwag seeds, its not a very tasty smoke, its got a really earthy and herbal flavor to it, but it hasn't been cured out so it smokes pretty hash sometimes, but with an intense de-seeding some re-moisturization and curing you can make it into some killer bud.
They have been growing on their own in the heat of the mexican summer, so it can probably take 85-90 degree temps in a grow room no problem.
I would assume its some pretty stable stuff since its mass produced and pressed into schwag bricks.
The bud quality is pretty bad, out of 100 seeds I had about 35 good ones.
I just made 1 gram of some pretty killer hash with all of the less crystally fanleaves from this ounce (about 3g of shake)

Well shit, free bud is never a bad thing, even if it is mexican brick weed. I bet you raise some nice ladies from those seeds.
Sounds like you have some cool ideas for crossing strains. Seems like anything DJ short puts together turns out amazing.

Here is a little mini update...
I plucked some thai super skunk x (unknown indica) seeds from my buddy's plant, I have about 30 of those.
I found a lone seed on my friends el nino plant so, IDK how its there but it is.. only explanation would be that I pollinated it from my clothes when I was going to/from my other friends that had the TSS male.
Will do a big update when my pure aero plant shows sex.

thats a pretty awesome nug you have growing those photos. is this your first time out with genetics/breeding? or have crossed strains and pollenated in the past?

Thanks, it really should be a bigger plant, but it was given to me as a runt at day 2/3 flowering so its just going to be a fat nug, heh.
This is my first time breeding and using my own genetics.
I am going to be growing out hopefully 2 of my own crosses (if we dont lose the el nino x tss seed) and 2 different mexican strains.
I have a dutch passion blueberry clone that has been through hell, so.. I'm actually hoping it will herm on me so I can get some fem pollen and make some feminized crosses.
The plant that has been in my aero setup from day 4 is growing at an insane rate.. I'm ready for it to start exploading and then show sex... hoping for a female.

Okay so here is a pretty thorough update...
I built one of these little aero tubs for my friend and I liked it so much I had to make one for myself. I took step by step pictures of most of it and I'll post a thread later tonight when I write it all up.
also I might add, the plants on the left side are the same age, the huge one has been in the aero setup from day 2 with full strength nutes on 12/2 and the one in the front was in soil for a week or so
I went ahead and took everything out of soil and gave my friend 4 plants that are now in his aero tub.
I have 4 plants left.. 'the nug', bagseed champion, blueberry clone thats been through hell, and another bagseed that started out in soil.

My NEW aero design uses square tubs and only uses 2 gallons for 4 plants.
The grand total was...
only $35! (minus net pots and lids)
You can easily make 2 of these and use side by side.
Did I mention they look fucking awesome too? lol.

I'm still on the fence, but have not run into any problems first hand so far. (IN the aero)

I have some neutral news.
My champion is... a male.
I'm not too pissed because it was more of an experiment than anything and I wasn't going to be able to finish my stuff anyways.
Its actually more good than bad because this plant has exhibited beautiful growing patterns and vigor.
I have more of these seeds.
The blueberry clone is looking much better too, its rooted and everything, hopefully I can get her pollinated in time. This is one cross that I would really like to make.
Also I might add this plant showed sex 25 days from germination on 12/12.
It has super steady tight internode spacing and loves growing in the aero setup..

Nice, sounds like some good seeds for experimentation. My node spacing is very tight too, and I'm thinking it has something to do with full nutes from the beggining. Kinda like they're on steroids or something.
On a different note... you said you were in school, right? Ignore me if I'm being intrusive, but I was just curious to see if you are pursuing botany or horticulture as a major.
