Hey the Mars 600 isn't THAT bad...Week 5

But...I know it wont last very long and i'm eager to further lower temps and lectic use before the summer rolls in.
Budzbuddha, how many boards do you recommend for a 3x3?

Hey guys,
I'm just investigating ways to add supplemental lighting to this fixture in the future. I've already drawn it up with a 2lamp t5 fixture that I could supplement with hortilux 660 and fs+uv. Also, these panels seem to fit perfectly in my cob fixture as well.View attachment 3884030
However it seems this could be overload for my 20"x46" space.
Supplemental light may not even be necessary. I just want to make sure I get the highest quality buds from the babies
that's definitely overkill. your space is less than 6.5 sq ft so you need 160-220w,
depending on how hard you want to drive your LEDs. two quantum boards would
be plenty. spend extra money on beans, quality buds come from quality genetics,
assuming your environment is proper.
It's gonna get crowded in there.

Yea I'm going to skip the boards for now and just run the 6 veros. They are only 36v so @1400 I'll be at about 300w, slightly less than 50w per sq ft and I'll have one cob perfectly centered in each sq ft.I'm growing in almost the same dimensions as u my cab is 22"x40"
It's lit by only one vero 29 and one quantum board for less than 180 watts and the plants are very happy
Just to give u an idea I think ur plan would be waaaay too much light
they will grow nice bud, but they are horribly inefficient, and three out of four of my lights have burnt out chips. The quatum board at 100 watts puts out 3 times the light of a Mars 300, think about that... Quatum 50% efficient at 100 watts, Mars 23% efficient at 180 watts ( for the old style with 3 watt chips.) All mine are being replaced!

If I do decide to add to my spectrum, I have this idea as well with hortilux t5s.View attachment 3884203 I think I will be fine without them this first go round.

Just like COB LED, total system efficiency varies depending on how hard you drive the boards.I have been wondering, what is the efficiency of the QB's expressed in percentages?
