DIY with Quantum Boards

Sent HLG a email about a QB 40 flickering not a word back yet... I think the driver is taking a shit gets bright for a second or two then dims quite a bit. Gets quite annoying working cutting clones all the flickering..lol

Yeah, the occasional driver will do that.
I'm sure they will sort you out in no time... the drivers have a pretty long warranty from the factory.

Your email will be one of the 1000 a day they have to sift through
They been really busy dealing with it all and the constant nipple reconstruction surgery probably doesn't help much.

The 3500k are tough to get your hands on. Usually sold out. In 3000k or 4000k.
4 Qb132's to my door with shipping 147$ the 132s can go up to 75 watts without a heatsink. I wouldnt advise 75 each anyway.
I run mine on a 240w1750mA so a lil over 50w a board. The driver was around 60$ shipped w/ tariffs included. 5 or 10. I forget.
I liked em so much I got 2 sets of 4!!
 
If ya can build a rectangle out of aluminum frame 12" x 45" your in luck.
Just mount em to the frame,
wire up yhe whip to the ac side, hot, neutral, ground.
Then run your qbs in series, +,-,+,-,+,-,+,- back to driver leads. A few screws a few connectors. Easy peasy
 
I am trying too light a 4x8 tent but with financial restrictions will have too peice it together. My plan is too buy QB288 Rspec boards with heat sinks one set at a time.Ordering the drivers separate.The goal being 4 sets.Would the HLG-480H.... Be the driver I want? Second question what do the extra numbers mean HLG-480H24 HLG-48024a. Third question which one has dimming ability
