DMT extraction?

Hey just did an extraction mostly followed thick lights tek (someone already posted the link) A couple of hints I can give you. I used powdered bark. But did my acid boils (the consenses is that vinegar is tge best acid to use with acrb) with the bark inside of a 25 micro silkscreen bag and I got almost 0 plant matter in my soup. I just kept boiling this bag over and over like I was making tea. I used my ph meter to make sure that my acid boils were 4.0 and when I basified I used lye to raise it to 13.5. I reduced my acid boils on the stove a lot before I basified. Probably reduced 3 gallons of acid soup to around 3 quarts (so it would fit in a 1 gallon wine jug) . Didnt measure the vinegar or lye just went by ph. I had no emulsions at all no matter how hard I shook the naphtha soup mix. If you have any other questions ill answer as best I can. Im not an expert but my first try I got 1.5 grams of white crystals and about 1.5 grams of goo from 250 grams of rootbark. Another thing I started trying to cryalsize in jars but it was was to hard to get it out so I switched to a large pyrex bowl.

Sourced rootbark from acacia confusa grown in HI so doesnt even go through customs.

Never heard of that sounds interesting. I imagine though it would still take quite awhile to filter the liquid. (I've tried pillow cases coffee filters etc.) its way easier and faster and more efficient to just dump the liquid in a Büchner funnel with vacuum and move on with your life then to stand over a bucket for like in hour waiting for the water to drip through the filter. Plus it will probably clean out more of the fine particles. The bark I work with has the consistency of flour.

You can find a kilo of acacia bark on ebay for 60-70 dollars it grows in Hawaii too.

Nice looking crystals fellow traveler ultra pure! I also like the idea of using the silk screen as a tea bag when boiling. Just out of curiosity how much did you pay for your acacia bark? I pay $60 for a kilo

Its root bark, and comes from Hawaii first of all and second of all get out of here fed.

naptha doesnt leave your product looking yellow and smelling like crap. its all in the art of your process. no one should tell you exactly how to do it. you need to find your own way if you want it. the nexus is the best place to start. start reading and learning putting effort in your process shows on your final product.

Good that was what I was trying to come up with was something other than silk screen its not that its expensive but anywhere that ships is to Canada is charging like $20+ for shipping. Rip off. Since my bark is apparently powdered when I know for a fact I ordered the non powdered but oh well..

Tried the tshirt thing. Not as useful tool wise. It can be...cumbersome. If the micron screen offers a better solution. I'll give it a whirl.

Of course I use glass I'm cheap but not that cheap. Another tip though people won't tell you with the Büchner funnel is don't use a FRITTED Büchner funnel the powder will clog the disk and make it near to impossible to clean with out some kind of really strong nasty solvent like sulfuric acid or HF both of which are sketchy to handle even when following all the proper safety guidelines. Use the traditional type with a pore plate on the bottom instead and just pay a few extra bucks for filter paper.

From my experience. The silk screen bag worked amazingly. got a pack of them from the local head shop for like 80 bucks.I nested them together so I had the bark in a 150 micron bag which was inside a 125 micron bag which was inside a 75 mcron bag ect ect till the last bag which was 25 micron. I could just pull all the bags out and squeeze all the juice out . The bags are super tough you arent going to rip them with your bare hands.

Thanks it was really fun process and I was excited it worked out the way it did. I had read so much on the nexus about how difficult it was getting white crystals from ACRB I wasnt even expecting it to work. I payed 44 dollars shipped for 500 grams of FINELY powdered (like dust) rootbark. Got to me in 2 days vacuum packed. Very happy with the quality thinking about buying a couple kgs from the same seller.

Thats what I'm talking about white crystals are definitely hard to get with acacia mine came out brown and I had to recrystalize them but even then they were kind of more off white.

If you don't mind me asking where do you buy your bark online? That's a much better deal then what I'm paying.

Ebay 1kg for 70 or 75. From a US place. I think that i might get a coupla more to play with myself.

My bad dabs and math don't mix I just made a batch of shatter from some nice trim I had left over from a previous grow. But ya eBay is the best place to get it imo that's where I get mine.
