Got to be careful not to mix up between FR/sleep initiation and the Emerson Effect.

Another important point, since the original poster is talking about a light for veg, is etoliation/shade-avoidance that will occur with too much Far Red or low lighting levels.
To get a general idea of how much blue, green, red and far red is available in white leds have a look at the attached image.

5700° Kelvin white leds have more blue and less red, and 3000° Kelvin white leds have less blue and more red than the 5700°K.
If you head on over to the led sub forum (
here) you will see a few using 4000°K for dedicated veg, but most are 3000°K/3500°K from seed/cutting to harvest.
