NO!!!!!! They do not kill beneficials. Neither does tap water but you can’t get people past that.

isnt clorine even in low concentration a disinfectant? it might not kill all of the mico/bact but probably it's not helping them either

It's a noob question, only noobs' question it. Most things will kick a microbes ass, ten billion of them is a different story it will just create healthy competition and diversity unless you can take out them all in one go.

It will kill some but they will reproduce rapidly.
"Researchers have found that chlorinated drinking water may kill a number of microorganisms in soil or a compost pile. However, their reproduction rate is so rapid that populations rebound in a short time. Under normal conditions, chlorinated water will not threaten microorganism populations. Microorganisms reproduce rapidly. In one study, researchers continuously applied highly chlorinated water to soil for 126 days. Already proven it only affects the microbes in the first inch or so. If then. Ever see everything growing under a dripping faucet outdoors?
