They all look different ages so the first one looks like its 2 weeks? If im right then yea that one looks fine and is growing good. The yellow tip in your second pic is normal with miracle grow and will (in my experience) always happen with soil with nutes already in them.

Mg has time release ferts so it often burns the plant alittle in my opinion jus transplant in to fox farm soil

look just a lil stressed maybe by instant ferts in soil. i would do what purplebud27 says and switch up soil. Fox Farms or Roots Organic soils.

I have just ordered foxfarm soil from amazon... hope it will make the difference, so I have heard many times.

When shall I start putting nutes in?

That walmart 20-20-20 stuff okay?

never mind for the soil.. they don't ship to Canada.. apparently it is almost impossible to get that soil in Canada?... what other soil can I use that I can find locally that would be much better than MG?

Canada, there should be all kinds of garden centers and hydro shops all over the place where you live, they'll carry what your heart desires for soil. What part are you in? Are you near Vancouver? If so you could take a little road trip just down the road to Bellingham, there is a great little hydro shop called Northern Lights Hydroponics. I used to get all my supplies form him when I lived and grew in that area. Also, down south about another 30 miles is a place called M&R Lighting in Mt. Vernon, he is also an excellent resource for supplies. Both places carry the best quality soils and if you call them they will ship to you.............hope this can help you out especially if you actually live in that area of Canada....luck

I have found that the trick to keeping Miracle Grow Organic from burning my plants is to simply use a container with no holes.

Say you have 2 plants in Miracle grow in a couple 5 gallon buckets (one with drain holes, one without). If you feed them the same amount of water (lets just say 16 ounces of water) then some may run out the drain holes of the one bucket. But that 16 ounces you gave the plant without holes in the bucket will have a much better "time release fert/water" ratio because none of it drained out. The other bucket however will have just enough water to activate the fertilizer but really not a whole lot to soak up. And the more water you give Miracle Grow the more fertilizer it releases. Its not really a "time release" fertilizer.

I don't know if I said that the way i wanted but it makes sense to me lol:joint:

No holes. Ya know that really depleats oxygen at the root zone and these plants love oxygen, well kinda like how you love the availability of oxygen:shock:. How many successful marijuana grows have you had using this method? I mean start to finish grows, not just first grow w/ 2 weeks veg, but an entire grow.....:peace:

I did a side by side with 2 of my AK47 males that I ended up never watering again and they died.

This isnt necessary during the whole grow. I would drill 3/8" holes in my container or transplant to a container with holes before flower ... because then they will take all the water activated ( not time released) nutes you can throw at them... then just add supplements accordingly after the water activated ferts in the soil are depleted or spent.

Again I am by no means a pro ... but you gotta admit it makes sense

and my roots are not brown from root rot or anything ... big thick container of healthy roots.

It does make a little sense, I wonder though. So how old are your mothers? They do look pretty good. The tons of perilite is probably allowing oxygen to the roots, you almost have a hempy bucket style grow going, but with a bit of soil added.

If you begin to get wafts of a rotten scent or notice knats (thay like fungus), pull your plant from the pot root mass and all ( like in the pic ya posted above)to see if you have stagnant sitting build up. This is not bound to happen, but it definately can, and if it does then hole drilling is the ticket.

I think soil drainage is a must. And how are you suppose to flush all those chemicals in the last week without root rot happening or your plants drowning? Also mg soil doesn't have things like worm casings and fish emulsion which is in most organic soils. Nonetheless your plants look good jwop.

of course you dont think i mean taking a plant completely through flower with only "time release" miracle grow ...

read what i said ... look at my plants ... which have no "necessary" drain holes ... and take from it what you will

but "soil drainage is a must"

that and a dollar might get you a coke

but dont bet on it

by the time your plant is ready to flush ... WHICH ISNT NECESSARY WITH ORGANICS ... there will be no more "time release" left ...

you will have to feed your plant based on what it needs ...

not what the book tells you that you have to feed it

Organics need flushes too.

i have just started growing 4 plants in a hydroponic system i made can anyone tell me if the are doing good from a pic of it the plants are about 2 weaks old well they sprouted 2 weaks ago any info on anything i can do or improve would be great
