Does making cannabis oil with alcohol waste weed

Going to make some oil to dab with alcohol by putting it in mason jar snaking it 2 min then running through filter... Will that waste weed or fuck my weed up

no just make sure you are using 99% plus alcohol. really shake grind up the weed good and take your time. i
do this method all the time. after filtering out the gunk i warm the dish i poured into and it helps evaporate the alcohol faster. really low heat though. good weed, ill get about a gram a oil from 5-7 grams. there is no doubt that you will have better extraction with butane or rosin press.

be sure to remove all of the alcohol before you dab.

I'd rather smoke flower than vape qwiso, just me though.

By "will it waste my weed" i hope you don't plan on smoking alcohol dunked flower lol, your weed is done once you extract the contents.

LMFAO why would any one smoke buds drenched in alcohol...aint the hole point to remove the oils from the plant matter why would you assume someone would smoke that lol... But smoking oil that was removed with alcohol/lighter fluid doesn't seem very great either

I Wouldn't soak for two minutes. If the alcohol turns green you've gone too long and you're taking out things that aren't thc. Made some 2 days ago and it looked like keif colored. Coffee filter, let it drain, put in pyrex, put on top of a steaming pot water. Prepare for stank. Mine came out a nice amber color and no sizzle and taste great! Best dabs i'v made besides my bho

Yes definitely not smoking crack

QWISO is a waste IMO.

it ALWAYS tastes like crap because the alcohol strips more than just the oils from the plant, you get chlorophyl and other nasty chemicals we dont want to consume.

i guess if i HAD to then i would but honestly, i would just squish some bud with a hair straightener to get some oil before i did QWISO but maybe thats just me.

nothing beats open blasted flowers, except maybe closed loop blasted flowers lol

if you really decide to do an alcohol wash,

make sure the jar everything is frozen for at least 24 hours. material, alcohol, jars, filters, everything. 2 min shake is too much. i wouldnt go more than 45 seconds!

Don't you have to put the everclear and herb tincture in a pan of water on medium hit and let the mix boil down for about 15 minutes? The tincture should boil at a lower temp than the water. Then put that in some chocolate milk and chug it. I felt like I took 3 hydrocodone, drank a 12 pack and smoked a few bowls. Shit lasted 12 hours.

As mentioned, alcohol seems to strip terpines. I have a Source machine and have run pounds of material through it to make RSO with Everclear. I can make shatter with it but it always taste like garbage. I use 99.9% iso to clean my dab rigs, evap for a week in a heated vac chamber (way overkill but I would rather be safe than sorry), then run that material in Everclear through The Source (mason jar, everclear, reclaim, filter with coffee filters multiple times). Last time I did it I got over 70g of high potency golden wax that had no flavor but still floored you. I had it tested and it came back at over 50% thc but still very low in CBD and CBN to my surpise. I was thinking the heat of dabbing it the first time would have degraded the thc into those but it didnt. It started out as nasty black reclaim and ened up being very good for RSO and edibles.

Do a 2 min. wash, drain thru coffee filters, dry at room temp using fans. Scrap with a razor blade. Should be powdery, will melt easily with body heat, then turns to shatter.
