I don't know if this was clearly answered or not but if you run parallel the available voltage applies to each parallel string, and the current is divided evenly for the strings.

You can make that work with 2 strings for 1.2A, or 3 for .8A, you can run more strings if you want them softer.

31-62v for the driver. Like 2 strings for 1.2A. 36v 3070/3590 + parallel again(.6A now) 2 x 18v 1512s per string. That keeps the 1512s comfortable @ .6A, and gets a bit better use of the bigger more expensive cobs @ 1.2A. 20k lumens (cxb3070)~22k lumens (cxb3590)

You could also run 3 strings of 2x Vero18s and that keeps them under nominal. ~18k lumens.

I'd put fuses to at least protect each big cob, 1.5A fuse will blow in a 2 or 3 parallel setup if one string fails. For 1512s Or anything cheap I probably wouldn't care($5).

you need better customer laws in the us, i would just sent it back as it is my right to do so
Does your law give you the "right" to make a return to China without paying shipping? I'm really curious.

Our businesses compete. Many places will accept returns on items that have been used for 20 years and have simply worn out. You have to be a douche to do it, but they'll accept the return. My sister in law, a major douche, recently bragged to me that she dropped an expensive crystal wine glass and returned it, saying just because she dropped it on a stone floor it shouldn't have broken. They gave her a replacement.

I'm not aware of a single American business that I deal with that doesn't accept returns with a smile.

if you buy something online you should have the same rights as in a brick and mortar shop, i.e. checking the item out in person. if it's not what you thought it was you can sent it back in a 2 weeks time frame and you don't need to pay a restocking fee or else, that's eu law for you. german law was even better, you could sent stuff back without needing to pay for postage if the item was > 50eur, but with the recent harmonizing of the customer protection laws in europe that got scraped, but most stores still offer free back shipping
