DOG Kush LED Grow Journal

Alright were on our way! DOGs are about a month into flower.

Threw the screen up the other day and gave them a lil spray of some anti mold/fungus shit. I dont really like spraying in flower but its summer and humidity can spike out of nowhere.

All my clones have rooted and been transplanted. Well minus one of the tall phenos im keeping just cause i dont have a pot to throw it in.

I should have my new 5x5 flower tent by the time this round is complete. Then movin the other LED panel into my flower tent and getting a new 4x4 veg tent. Gotta pick up some florescent lights soon for the veg tent. Tryin to keep my temps down with the LEDs i have. Might possibly grab another LED panel or 2 if possible for veg.

So what kinds of silica are you guys using?? These plants grow very lanky and top heavy except for my short one. But even that one flops at the end of flower because the top buds get so dense. The DOG is an OG cross and a lot grow lanky with thin branches.

I was thinking of gettin some form of silica to try to help strengthen them. Im gonna try addin back some cal mag because i stopped really usin it when i stopped using my RO.

Cal Mag is essential unless you are getting these nutes from another source. I use ProTek and Mad Farmer silica as bottled sources and I use dandelions and other fast growing weeds in teas, compost, and worm bin for organic sources.

Yeah i used to use it all the time when i had my RO up and runnin.

My nutes im running have a fair amount of cal/mag in them and i stopped using RO water so i figured i wouldnt have to add any more. Its really just this strain. Ive stopped using cal mag often once i switched from RO to tap. This is the first plant that has had this problem since i started growing. Id get some bud droop-age during the end of flower but i mostly grow indica dom hybrids so i tend to have short stacked buds VS tall lanky top heavy buds.

Luckily i got a headband dom pheno thats nice and stacked and squat. Barely stretches at all. Shes my keeper.

Speaking of lanky ass plants i cant wait to give the forum cut a run! My friend is veggin out a clone as we speak and i cant wait til its big enough to clone.

Have you smoke any of the FCC? I smoked some Platinum Cookies I got at the LA Cup and it was a good smoke.

HELL YEAH had a constant connect on someone in CA who was growin tons of it. Shit was KILLAAA. Not sure the exact cut whether it was forum or another bag seed that turned out bangin but it looked exactly like it and was straight THRAXXX

He also had Cherry Pie which i liked more because of the high. Same level of flavor, same level of potency, same level of high, just completely different high. You can tell the cookies he was growin had that couchlock stone vs the cherry pie that had that uppidy feeling.

I love being couchlocked but theres nothing better than being ripped off your ass and completely functional. Really got me inspired. Reminded me of a GDP high just MORE intense and potent. I always loved GDP for its euphoric/inspiring high.

Thanks man! Been busy lately runnin all over the place. Got my last round of ALL phenos about 2 weeks away from choppin. Just starting to get their final swell on. Editin a video right now. Heres some shots of the keeper pheno.

Next round will be in the new 5x5x7 tent with over 900w of LEDs. Itll be 5-6 short keeper phenos and 4-5 tall phenos that im keeping for my friend. Im gonna put the tall ones under 1 light and the short ones will probably get the better chunk of the 2 other lights. CANT WAIT!!!

Its not the GSC, its the LEDs makin it looks dark purple/black. Its the DOG still. Smells awesome. Fuely rubber.

Gonna have the GSC in a few weeks just waitin on it to get big enough to get a clone of it! Cant wait to run that!!!

That is some extra special looking DOG! The LEDs do make it look like that maroon color the GSC gets.

Yeah i feel it the leaves look exactly the same plus the frost level is similar haha!

Hopefully have that forum GSC sooner than later.

Ive heard good things about blue moonshine DR. Im hopin to R1 my short DOG pheno with the GSC.

Not really tryin to make a new strain but more to make some back up seed stock in case i lost one or the other. Especially the DOG because im the only one in my lil group with the short pheno. And also to try to bring either some flavor to the DOG or some growth style to the cookies.

In a perfect world id like to have a GSC dom smellin/tastin plant with the growth of the short DOG that i have. The frost level of both plants should make it hard to get one that isnt soaked in resin hahaha.

My main concern is that id be taking 2 S1s and crossing them. If i did it id probably do one round of making DOG pollen and hitting the GSC and another making GSC pollen and hitting the DOG. Ive heard the forums pollen isnt the strongest but we'll find out.

The GSC is such a freaky mix of genetics that the chances of getting a seed that has that same perfect expression of the mix is almost impossible.

That is why i just need to come out there and see some peps

It is hard to find a real cut of GSC. Forum cut is the most widely accepted legit cut. Progressive Options may have a cut. They were going for like $1500 a cut last year.

PO doesn't have it
